His career got unfortunately put on hold because of that injury. At least he has recovered in time for his theoretical peak of his career. They are going to need a top goalscorer since mostly the newly promoted teams tend to be very bad defensively. Instrestingly enough they also have signed Jankovic from Genoa so they are beefing up their front line. I hope thye do not start Jankovic and Toni. Bit of a slap for Cacia.

Toni scored the only goal as they beat Feyenoord in a friendly today.

Well that is a great start for them but we can not read too much. The teams changed a lot throughout the match. Good to see Toni still has got it. Like I said I do not think getting goals will be the problem but keeping it tight at the back.

On other news the club announced on their official website that they have already sold 14000 season tickets in the ten days they have been on sale. The ultras section is sold out. Absolutely amazing. These guys deserve to stay in Serie A.

19000? That seems incredibly high for Fiorentina. Last season if my sources are correct Fiorentina sold 13000 season tickets. Must be becasue of the great mercato that Fiorentina have been doing. It is great to see people confidence in Serie A returning. The only losers in the last decade have been the Milanese teams. Milan sold a paltry 25000 season tickets last season. That is appalling considering they have the second biggest fan base in Italy.

Sassoulo has a good squad and a great coach and I think Verona has room for only one team and lets be honest nobody really cares about Chievo...

Chievo has stayed in Serie A for over a decade now so they are well used ot it. As far as I can remember they do not seem to be involved in the relegation scrap neither. Sassuolo have got a good squad but their quality players are young and I expect them to move on sooner rather then later.

Besides I want to see another derby! Two teams battling for supremecy in a gladatorial atmosphere. No other matches come close.

Well done to Fiorentina. Seems like they will easily smash the 20000 target. Must be because of the great purchases that Fiorentina have made. Selling Jovetic for €27 million abroad was also a masterstroke. Only fly in the ointment is Ljajic's contract situation but everything else is looking up.

Especially when Verona roll into town. After such a long time, wonder what kind of suprise the Fiorentina tifosi will have in store. That surely will be a day when the result comes secondary. Just get to the stadium and enjoy the occasion and party.

When we played away to Chievo to seal (what shoulda been) a CL spot on the last day of 05-06 that place was amazing. Some current Serie A cities better get ready.

How do Hellas fans rate Daniel Bessa? I'm an Interista and watched him over the summer with Inter. Wished we kept him. He's been real solid for you guys so far. He's been one of my fav non Inter players this season.
