Hah, so much for my post above - but basically yes - FDA has regulatory authority. Note to self - doublecheck if the thread has a page you've not yet seen..........
My nephew read Naked Lunch and, I think, Junkie by William S. Burroughs when he was 13 or 14. He lived in a run down town in Iowa on the Missisippi river. A few years later, he and his friends started raiding their parents' liquor cabinets (as their parents did before them, and so on), and eventually weed came on the scene. But when some of his friends got into more hardcore things (meth, PCP), he said, no way. Most of his friends wound up doing time for possession and for manufacturing. He attributes his clean record (save for a DUI, of course) to early exposure to William S. Burroughs. Makes me think tjat high school English class should teach Trainspotting and Naked Lunch as young adult literature.
Also "The Man with the Golden Arm" by Nelson Algren. Also one of Frank Sinatra's best acting performances in the movie version.
When I lived in Colorado ...I think the primary demographic for NBC was old me. Who can't get it up, have high blood pressure, and had cancer. (Viagara, Lipitor and National Cancer Center) heavy rotation is an understatement, oh and also the infamous Wounded Warrior Project. http://www.thedailybeast.com/articl...harity-unleashes-hell-on-other-veteran-groups

Really? I was going to wait for it to come out digitally till I watched for that very reason. I figured I wouldn't catch a lot of the dialogue at the theater, and Subtitles can distracting to moviegoers. That's a shame.
Huh! Only problem I ever had was when one Scot said of all Scots "'at 'ey skite too much." Had to google that just to rid myself of the image of roller derby in kilts. But then, I have the genes...

So... This is going well for Republicans.. I bet the Republicans in the Senate are really stoked about coming up with an ACA replacement plan in a bipartisan manner that allows them to share the blame with Democrats if anything goes wrong... but wait.. McConnell on why no Ds in healthcare talks: "We're not going to waste our time talking to people who have no interest in fixing the problem"— Frank Thorp V (@frankthorp) May 23, 2017 Welp, that is going to go well for the Senate version...
The equivelence of AHCA is saying that cost of fires is too much, so we're going to cut firefighters.
The GOP wants neither to pay for pregnancies, nor to pay for abortions. They don't even like to pay for birth control.
clearly white males (aka the GOP) have nothing to do with pregnancies, abortion or birth control so why should they have to pay?
