Well, I guess people just shouldn't work in the service industry. I mean, I know that most corporations have great morals and values and would never purposefully give people 34 hours a week just so they don't have to pay healthcare, so there should be plenty of jobs for all of the people in the service industry to go to. After they fully research the beliefs and values of the company's owner of course. And then they can carefully discern which particular moral and upstanding company out of the many, many offers will give them the best work environment and aligns with their own personal beliefs. Easy, right? So much winning.

    Exactly!

As the guy says, her son's got the opportunity to do something else like, say, hedge-fund manager or tea-bagger republican congressman.

That's the trouble with these poor people. They don't think these things through.

I saw that. I'm too old for the hoverboard now anyway so I'll hang on for one of those.

Also, if memory serves, fishie is from Holland so he left a country with a sensibly implemented health service to come to America.

I'd call that placing yourself intentionally in a worse position. Personally I'd suggest a hefty fine is called for but, y'know... that's coz I'm a hard-liner in these things :)

Has Trump even been to church since he's been in office?

Maybe he has, but he has never come across to me as some Uber God-Squad member.

I'd bet the only time he has been to a church service in the past 5 years is for a photo op.

This doesn't matter to them. The House hasn't changed since Trump's election. They are still all about posturing just like when they repealed the ACA numerous times during the Obama administration.

Have Republicans ever heard of the concept of "you broke it you own it"?

Nope. They, the media and the "independent" voters think that it is "GOP broke it, Democrats own it".

Almost 12 years ago, I shattered several bones in my foot which required 14 screws and a metal plate to repair. Yes, I wish I could say I was cliff diving in Mexico but the truth is I fell off a ladder while repairing something in my garage. The University of Utah doctors now recommend immediate surgery to remove all the hardware or I could be at risk for serious infection. My recovery is expected to take three to four weeks. I’m sorry to miss the important work we are doing in Washington. This is not an opportune time to be away but medical emergencies are never convenient. I appreciate my constituent’s patience and understanding as I take time to recover.
The lack of self awareness is amusing too...
