http://www.politico.com/story/2017/04/20/obamacare-repeal-republicans-new-deal-237397 White House wants to have a win on ACA repeal by next friday...this should end well.
The initial analysis of AHCA 2.0 is that premiums for people with pre-existing conditions will skyrocket to the Oort cloud: https://www.americanprogress.org/is...lode-premiums-people-pre-existing-conditions/
If we line up all the people with those conditions against a wall and shot them dead, we could save a lot of money in healthcare cost. I am just thinking outside the box.
Target practice for the armed forces. Anyone who opposes the program is not in full "Support Our Troops" mode and will find themselves eligible for targeting.
What in the ever loving f***? A completed pregnancy? That's like a quarter of the f***ing population! Having a vagina is not a f***ing pre-existing condition! Aaaarrrrgggghhhh! Will they just give this up? So stupid.
Well, they also feel that the insurance for men and women over 50 should not include the cost of pregnancy.
Probably more than that and if you add in men with some of the others, (Asthma??? WTF?), you're excluding a huge number of people. Maybe it would just be easier if they provided the names and addresses of people they WILL cover.
Right? this is why we need insurance companies out of the equation. Healthcare is not like owning a vehicle.
Trump's negotiating strategy appears to be offering the same amount of money in bills of different denominations. It's a bold strategy, Cotton..........
Y'know, it occurs to me-- if there's a surcharge on a "completed pregnancy," wouldn't that be the same as a "pro-life" tax? Aren't you charging people for not having an abortion?
And are they going to charge you more for each completed pregnancy? And this list was for uncomplicated ones. Lots of good Christian families have quite a few kiddos. Hope they're ready to fork over the big bucks for all that spawning.
Well, that's the basic idea: exclude or charge insane premiums to as many "unhealthy" people as possible so that the premiums are low enough for healthier people - who are unlikely to use their insurance more than minimally - to sign up in larger numbers. For insurers it makes economic sense; of course it means those that are older or sicker get screwed. But, yeh.... free market.
Some people are disposable. http://shareblue.com/gop-rep-tells-...ry-skills-mean-he-doesnt-deserve-health-care/ But oh the sanctity of life when it's a fetus.
The Trump account at Deutsche Bank? Or rather by now it's been converted into a gold plated toilet at Trump Towers. Ask not what government can do for you, but what can you do to make the 1% wealthier?
