Wolfsburg are linked w/ Kranjcar now. I wonder where Diego's going to go. And I wonder if they're planning to keep Tuncay.

Doesn't Diego play the position that is primarily suited for our boy Koo?

I hate that crybaby diva anyways, good riddance.

If you say that all our players lack fitness, you're implying that they either lack training or need a break. Is there any Korean player you think is "fit"?

or one or more of dozens of other factors such as lifestyle, diet, rest, recovery methods, injury prevention, staying fit through injury, etc.

it could also mean that genetically the korean footballers in question are not predisposed to have good cardiovascular, muscular, and other conditioning -- though much of this can be overcome by paying close attention to those other factors.

but i never said 'all the korean players are undertrained'. if this is the inference made, it is based on neither logic nor on any sound knowledge about the topic.

if you lose to your well-over-40 dad over 800-meters, while you are in your mid twenties, and are left for dead by your marker repeatedly(as happened in the nigeria wc match), and are seldom given a start in a third- or fourth-tier league in the second half of the season, it speaks volumes about the level of your conditioning, doesn't it?

Actually, no. Correlation does not equal causation and in this case presenting an ex post facto argument just shows how trolly you are, troll. You probably need to read more of those physiology papers you like to brag about and brush up on high school debate level argumentation, troll.

    ********ing trolls, I swear.

and you need a remedial reading class, because i never made a generalization about all korean football players, and i never made a claim about their genetics. i was only introducing possible factors for why CERTAIN footballers seemed to have fitness issues.

anyway, since the topic of discussion now seems to have switched to CDR, i wonder why anyone's bringing him into this discussion as his fitness hasn't ever been impressive.

by the way, if 'three-lung', who got exhausted precipitously after a mere 25 minutes yesterday, is the benchmark of stamina for korean footballers, what does it say about the rest?

Troll, the bolded part is the definition of a generalization. The bolded part also includes the part where you made a claim about their genetics.

I really hope you haven't reproduced yet. Our gene pool doesn't need anymore idiots - or trolls. And I mean if we're talking about fitness, from the strictest definition of fitness, I don't think you reproducing with help humanity's fitness at all.

Also, you used precipitously wrong you ass ********.

Is our Jacheol-i back in Korea resting? Or is he at Paju getting ready for the friendlies next week? Anyone know? I'm trying to avoid reading Korean papers right now, since I'm dreading what's going to be revealed about the K-League next.

the bolded part(the 'limiting qualifier') indicates that the subject was limited to specific korean footballers, not all korean footballers.

again, this is only one possible factor suggested among the many others, as is plain to see. it is not a statement of fact. and it only applies to certain players.

now, are you going to argue that genetics has no role in affecting a given players level of conditioning?

haha. so the guy who can't even recognize a limiting qualifier or generalization corrects me on my semantics.

'precipitous' is an adjective with the following definition:

thus, 'got exhausted precipitously', would imply that the rate of getting exhausted was steep or hasty - as 'precipitously', the adverbial form of 'precipitous' would mean 'hastily' or 'steeply'.

do you need graphs to illustrate?

    Re: Gu Ja-cheol @ VfL Wolfsburg 2010-2011 Part 2 [R]

Hi troll, I know what a limiting qualifier is actually, and you didn't actually limit the statement itself since you never named the players "in question" in your statement. Since you never provide it, readers are left to infer who you are referring to, something that is necessarily impossible since there are quite a few Korean people who play football. I also am fully aware that several players have been mentioned in the thread itself - that doesn't absolve you of an argumentative obligation to name and identify the players that are "in question". Until that is done, the limiting qualifier is actually worthless and means your statement is a generalization. Framework your arguments troll.

    Now to the bolded part:

I am not arguing anything with you, troll. I am educating you.

In the pursuit of that education I will explain to you why you cannot attribute all or even a part of a person's conditioning to genetics with any scientific confidence:

    1. The physical condition of a player or even a person (in question as you say all the ********ing time) is a combination of genetics, epigenetics and a number of other confounding variables (i.e. rest, training regime, history of injuries and quality of recovery, diet, etc. etc.).

    2. Unless you provide peer reviewed scientific articles that describe a clear causation between the fitness of a player and their genetics, what you "think" is a clear role is nothing more than unscientific, unverified and unethical speculation. Genetics is still a rapidly expanding field and the sort of links that you like to create are nothing more than imaginary.

    3. Current literature on genotype-phenotype relationships show that the physical manifestation of genetic phenomena often result from a number of different factors. Furthermore, even though we have mapped the Human Genome, we are nowhere near relating a function (or lack thereof) to the ~25,000 genes we have identified due to gene splicing, etc.

    4. You never, once, and not in any of your trolly little posts on any of these threads defined "conditioning". Furthermore, your identification of "levels of conditioning" means that you entertain a clear hierarchy of conditioning, which you also did not explain. What exactly do you define as average fitness, good fitness, etc.?

Basically troll, I don't know if genetics has that much of a role in conditioning because: we have not yet clearly linked genotype to phenotype in athletics, etc.; you never identified what the ******** "conditioning" is.

    TROLL, TROLL, TROLL.
