So lately we've had an issue with several posters from this forum. Due to there really not being a full time person to take care of these issues it now carries on to us other italian mods who want to see a better milan forum
Obviously there are going to be some changes and not everything has been sorted out yet but as of now these rules are in place

Personal attacks, even the garden variety - your mother wears combat boots or you know nothing about soccer - are grounds for sanctions against your account ranging from a yellow card to a full time ban depending on the severeness

In addition, we ain't going to spend a lot of energy debating the rule, or defining what constitutes a personal attack - and we are spending zero time explaining what the other guy got, or how it doesn't matter that the other guy started it. If you want to write back anything other than sorry, won't happen again, be warned

If you see someone trolling from another forum, report the post and one of us mods we'll take care of it when we can(we are after all in charge of other forums). If you see that one of the regulars is attempting to start something, report the post, leave the conversation but do not engage the person. Doing so can have its own consequences.

Sorry for the harsh policy and slightly annoying reminder - most of y'all get it and this does not apply to you - but we really want these discussions to be civil and interesting and we are counting on y'all to help.
For the ones that it does apply, please reflect on your posting
if you can't keep conversations civil than think about changing your attitude, vocabulary, perceptions in order to create a better milan forum instead of driving it downwards
if you feel that you can not do this and persist in your ways then please consider bigsoccer not being the place for you

    Thanks

To follow up: we're not going for a full scale review of the past several months of over-the-line posting. I've received a couple of messages from folks concerned they'll suddenly be banned for interacting with another member of the board. That isn't the case. What is the case, as has been mentioned above, is that going forward you'll want to be more careful about avoiding personal attacks. You each have the opportunity to use the ignore list function if you wish, and rather than get engaged in a series of tit-for-tat exchanges, use the list.
