Jenna Pel over at All White Kit has a great interview with Whitney Engen. Pretty in depth and lengthy. Interesting to hear about how Kate Markgraf helped her and why she played left back for a bit last season.
I was able to watch Engen play for UNC and she's really developed as a player in great ways. Not that she didn't have talent when she first arrived--as a forward (and scored a bunch of goals). I'm surprised that she says she wasn't really thinking about playing elite collegiate soccer until Dorrance started recruiting her. Anyway, a great person, a great representative for UNC (and the USA, fingers crossed) and a great player.
