It was hard as hell to figure out who was who with the Santos color scheme and not so great Fox HD. But I thought he looked okay. He demonstrated a very good technical ability, ball control and dribbling ability. Created a few crosses and shots from beating his man and generally moved about the field pretty well. Didn't stand out from the crowd by any means but I saw some real good potential in him. I'm not sure why he was taken off.
Missed this one entirely. The goal speaks for itself -- fantastic! -- but how was the rest of Gomez's game?
I can't judge off 45 minutes, and Joya did impress me. But it was obvious that Joya was playing with better players against worse players, and Gatt was playing with worse players against better players.
No disagreement on that. I see Gatt as a faster Zizzo. Joya is much cleaner on the ball and able to play both in space and doesn't need the runway Gatt does to break a defender down. Time will tell.
