Trump and Duque clash over Colombia’s drug trade https://t.co/iF6dRelvPT Trump has attacked the US's most stalwart ally in South America TWICE in the last month. He might want to glance at his briefing books for a change. A tantrum is not the same as a policy.— Sanho Tree (@SanhoTree) April 11, 2019
We need to play less race politics if we want to win. I was at dinner with my wife in a nice restaurant. Saw a group of older liberals all white saying the would never vote for another white man. Then one said well no straight one anyone.... Just because white men for the most part have it easier everywhere doesn’t mean they all have the same experience or are all evil frat boys who ruffie women. Then they notice me, my asian wife and our son. They said “o that is so nice, it was a good” mix! It’s like tone down your wokeness
Do not lose sight of this. The 2016 election was essentially illegitimate. https://t.co/ckxDQ1nvti— Chris Taylor 🖋️ (@FutureBoy) April 18, 2019
All right. I just finished the Mueller Report. I'm going to combine the most shocking and important revelations in one thread. Long and short: there was collusion, there was obstruction, Donald Trump needs to be removed from office. Immediately. 1/— Jared Yates Sexton (@JYSexton) April 18, 2019
"We are completely rebuilding our military. It was very depleted as you know. A lot of the military folks can tell you," Trump said to a group of children at the WH Easter Egg Roll pic.twitter.com/srgCRzoapz— Scott Dworkin (@funder) April 22, 2019
Real shit: cousin’s baby was born w/ a heart defect, died 4mo after birth Family is undocumented so they opted for cremation in case they get deported “they can send for his ashes”[i share cuz most of us fail to imagine the amt of painful planning living undoc takes]— Adriana Gallardo (@otraletra) April 24, 2019
CANDACE OWENS: I said the dumbest thing about Germany that anybody will say all year LARA TRUMP: Hold my MAGA hat https://t.co/obs0eDVsB8— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) April 25, 2019 In case anyone miss the reference, Owens said that Hitler only wanted to Make Germany Great Again... Yeah, they're Nazis. And people that support them are too.

I was having a similar discussion with my friend yesterday. He published a cartoon where people trampled in line for the welfare, while a job creator was offering jobs on an empty line. Even if you are liberal, that kind of poor shaming has permeated our culture so much, while we consider CEOs and other greedy people some sort of heroes and pretend that their success is not by design. We could make a more egalitarian society, but we have chosen to glorify the filthy rich and humiliate the needy. How Christian of us.
We are taught to believe that if you are poor its because there is something inherently wrong with you not because of the socioeconomic structures set in place..
Not 100% true a lot has to do with motivation and family structure. $$$ has some to do with it but super rich are less motivated. The tax structure is a joke. The rates are 20k, 40k, 60k,80k and then 100k. It’s like um people make millions. Why does the tax rate stop at 100. The other issue is no limit to social programs. It shouldn’t be a generational thing. With minimum wage not being a liveable wage in high tax states many people prefer to not work and get free insurance, food and housing then work and not being able to afford that lifestyle. You have 2 parents who are hard working. That help you study and make you. Siblings that do as well it makes things a bit easier. I went to public school and I can say 70% of the school was on public assistance and most those kids grew up to be on it too. Then blame society and white people. Make good choices College .... don’t go to the 50k a year school if you don’t get mostly a full ride. Don’t go if you aren’t getting a high paying job. Don’t go if you don’t know what you want to do with your life. What is wrong with being an electrician or plumber they are real high paying jobs.
After the best week ever for @realDonaldTrump - no obstruction, no collusion, NYT admits @BarackObama did spy on his campaign, & the economy is soaring. I now support reparations-Trump should have 2 yrs added to his 1st term as pay back for time stolen by this corrupt failed coup— Jerry Falwell (@JerryFalwellJr) May 5, 2019
What's the bible verse that condemns interracial marriage? Must've missed that onehttps://t.co/kWdYmcCuLh pic.twitter.com/zWDqXzinuE— Astead (@AsteadWH) May 6, 2019
The "funniest" thing about these "Christians" is that they want to control every aspect of life, from dressing code to marriage and reproductive rights, then they'll get incensed if you tell them about Freedom of religion and point out to the Quran and the Sharia Law...

More that is you mention taxing the rich and helping the poor they get so angry It’s like did you skip over all the Jesus parts of the Bible?
It has to do with social and economic mobility, the US had relatively high mobility but since the 80s has been decreasing to the point it is almost at monarchical levels. This is more poor shaming. A lot of working people is in social programs because a. they cannot afford to live without assistance, and b. because we have built a lot of working requirements into welfare. Or you have two parents or one parent that work 2 and 3 jobs, can't make ends meet and don't have time to help you with anything, not to mention that probably you will be shamed at school for getting food assistance and wearing raggedy clothes. Or shame the poor for being poor. So when you start to study you are required to know what you're going to get paid in 2 or 4 years? Or if you don't study, can you compete with Pete the Barista with the masters degree? True, a lot of kids make poor choices, but it is not as simple as they getting on a sick loan because they wanted to study some unprofitable career. College education has become too expensive and a bachelors degree is the minimum requirement for jobs that only pay 40k or 50k per year, so we as a society need to tackle both, our education inflation and stagnant salaries. Just for information purposes, here is an income vs tuition costs graph:
