I'm a bit surprised that they aired that episode (i.e. the Halloween episode) so early in the month, but it was still pretty funny. -G
On the one hand, they seem to want to develop an overarching mythology. On the other, they seem pretty disinterested in complexity. And yet, that odd dichotomy works for me so far.
Part of what makes that odd dichotomy work also seems to be that the episodes are only half an hour long rather than one hour like the shows that've seemingly inspired it, particularly The X-Files. -G
It just occurred to me why this and other FOX shows are showing their Halloween episodes early: FOX will be covering the MLB World Series in the weeks leading up to Halloween. -G
And cancelled. We really enjoyed the first one back, and the series as a whole is a goofy, low-investment kick. I don't know that we'll actively miss it, but I am sorry it was cancelled.
