The Americans also because this way they have a big base close to the middle east with top hospitals and stuff like that.

I dont know about British, But most, if not all American Bases in Germany are in Southern/Central Germany (Bayern,BW,Hesse,Rhineland, etc.) But they are beginning to get rid of many of them because there is not as much of a need.

It's mostly a logistic issue. I think there are about 25.000 British soldiers left here in Germany, and they can't just all go back at once because they don't have the facilities in England. They'd need to restructure everything. So it will take some years until all of them have left (which will be painful for some cities because many jobs depend on those caserns). Then we can start invading other countries again.

    Here's some more off topic:
US has chosen Wiesbaden, my hometown, yet again to be their "European headquarters". They will not leave, they will extend their presence (Maybe just centrelizing their presence, and getting rid of other bases). This has of course nothing to do with a possible rumour in Germany, but with the friendship that has evolved between Germany and the US in general. We provide them an European base, from where they can operate, in terms of conflicts nearby, maybe near to middle east, sooner or later.
