It has, "Spaß". There is another German word that fits your ramblings in this thread, "Schwachsinn". I'll drink a warm lager to that. Prost!
"Me vine antes de lo previsto a España para mejorar el idioma y demostrar que no estoy de paso". I came to Spain before hand to learn the language better and also to show I'm not just passing through. "Se lo recomendé cuando Michael Laudrup dejó el banquillo. Le avisé de que, con un entrenador español, nadie le hablaría en inglés" - Kastenmeier I recommended it to him after Laudrup left. I told him with a Spanish manager, no would speak to him in English. You cannot take anything away from him. he is disciplined and has a dignified collective sense (not selfish). Beside the fact the he has a great leg (shot) from outside the box, he can organize the team" - Víctor Muñoz "No ha sido fácil habituarse a una mentalidad tan diferente. It has not been easy getting into the habits of such a different mentality. There are a lot of short steps here (short passing game, I assume)...responds Polanski that didn't debut until the fifth match day v Athletic en San Mamés and was not in the starting lineup until the Cup game v Osasuna. Since then he has become a starting in the first team playing 344 minutes out of a possible 360. "We have to take advantage of Real Madrid being in crisis" he says the "Teuton" as he rubs his hands like Zidan (WTF??) "the way they were on the ball but aren't anymore...". In a nutshell!!
I heard that Eugen's Spanish is pretty good in the meanwhile. Thanx for the interview. Btw: Robert Huth seems to have had a solid debut against Arsenal after his long-term injury.
do u really want me to list them? their standard of "world class" was different to what is widely accepted today. They had to prove themselves in different leagues and also internationally
from memory after bierhoff, hamann was very influential at his club, babbel was good and ziege was ok. I wouldnt call any of them world class though. but these guys are : karlheinz schnellinger (AC milan) helmut haller (bologna, juventus) guenter netzer (real madrid) breitner (real madrid) uli stielike (real madrid) hans mueller (inter) rummenigge (inter) schuster (real mardrid, barcelona, athletico) briegel (hellas verona, sampdoria) karlheinz foerster (olympique marseille) matthaeus (obviously nothing educational) brehme (inter) voeller (roma, marseille) haessler (juventus, roma) andreas moeller (juve) littbarski (japan ) kohler (juve) klinsmann (inter, monaco, tottenham hotspur) effenberg (fiorentina) and the majority dont fall into the "top 15" list of germans ever so most stayed at home in the 70s which was the best era for german football
In the 70's wasn't it fairly common that only players who played in the Bundesliga would be selected for the National team? When saying that Germany doesn't produce many world class players, it might be a good idea to look at which country has the most Ballon d'Or winners in history.
yes...very much so. It was to do with travelling and also a slight feeling of "we're the best league and team", so if you don't put yourself in the best position to play for us, we don't need you". Ballack would never ever be able to pull what he's pulling now, with his attitude and location. even when schuster moved to barcelona in 1980 it was looked down on. tied at 7 with holland, but lots more 2nd and 3rd places. I forgot a couple of players in the list before. I think only doll would be world class. thomas berthold (roma, verona) thomas doll (lazio, bari) karlheinz reidle (lazio)
Brescia's president Coroni confirms interest in Nsereko from Juventus, Napoli, Genua, AS Rome aaaaaaaaaand.......Bayern Munich If enough money is paid, Nsereko can leave Brescia in the winterbreak.
Metzelder had another really good match against Valencia tonight. That's two very good matches against big teams, Barcelona and Valencia. Like I wrote earlier, I'd really like him to play consistently well and win a starting place in Madrid. An in-form Metzelder will always be a very good alternative (and likely starter) for a position were we are lacking depth in the national team.
He really is the unluckiest player there is. No wonder he can't establish himself anywhere with all these injuries.
Do any of you know where Ballack would go if he left Chelsea next year at the end of his contract, or would he just retire? Would Bayern Munich take him back on a free?
Thats was a couple of months ago though, since then he has been bad, plus they have Essien to come back and Scolari clearly thinks Deco is a superior player.
Sergio Peter joins Sparta Prague, does anybody know if he has spanish descent? http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_4734152,00.html
No he belongs to the ethnic group of Sinti. Nice little interview with Savio Nsereko to come on transfermarkt.de in the next hours, where he confirms some offers and talks about a possible career with Uganda's A-National team
That's a little bit surprising for me. But well, Prague is a lot more interesting than Blackburn... Cool. C'mon, are you serious? I thought it's 100 % sure he'll play for Germany ... or are the DFB officials on the way to make the same mistake as happened with Sami Allagui (who decided to play for Tunisia because he obviously wasn't good enough for our U21 national team)?
