Actually a good thing. Since Leverkusen have abolished their reserve team, many of their top talents make the first team right after U19 The less talented youth players left the club n gain pro experience in lower divisions. maybe thats better than expected. Apparently that may not be good for late bloomers, but i think making the first team earlier instead spending a couple of years in reserve team will be good for some of the talent youngsters who show talent early on
Abouchabaka has scored a goal today. His 1st for the senior RB team. and scores another one. Now he has 2 goals in 2 games for pre-season with the seniors. seems like both he and Arp are doing well for their respective 1st teams. Here's hoping they get chances next season.
Awuku scored the 5th goal vs Hamburg as they beat them 5-3. seems like the U17 lot are doing well in preseason.
Christian Fruchtl played 45 minutes vs Arsenal. Only conceded a goal from a counter, very bad defending from the defense. Couldn't do anything about the goal though. in the preceding penalty shootout he saved one of the penalties. Again not his fault that Sanches and Bernat missed 2 consecutive penalties. overall not bad from a 17 year old!
Will Havertz get more playing time? Leverkusen have sold Chicharito If they play a 442, Kiessling, Volland, Pohljanpalo, Havertz n Mehmedi might rotate at CF.
We really going to act like a massive sample size of one meaningless game in preseason means angthing? That's... Wòw. I have no words for that.
it was the basically not far off from being the full Bayern team in the XI, while I don't think it was the best XI of Milan. Whether pre-season or not, that's pathetic, 4-0 trashing. and KHR gave you tons of examples of possession football losing or not being the way. But you always ignored them or always unconvinced. I'm just showing the continuing trend.
http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/...colas-kolodziejczak-und-die-zwei-systeme.html Dieter Hecking's praise for 19 year-old Gladbach GK. Moritz Nicolas: "Moritz is one of the winners of the training camp, showing clearly that he has made a huge step forward at the Telekom Cup and Leeds' match. He has gained a lot of charisma, held strong, and has managed to convince us completely."
#Tedesco über Luke #Hemmerich: "Er kann alles spielen. RIV, RAV oder im RM. Hinzu kommt noch die Sechser-Position." [RevierSport] #S04— Fussballeck (@Fussballeck) July 20, 2017
Tedesco is looking to reduce the Schalke squad size for this upcoming campaign to around 25 players. Sidney Sam is the most immediate players who should leave. While Fabian Reese and Bernard Tekpetey are both candidates to go out on loan. Donis Avdijaj appears to of had a falling out already with the new coach, and could be another player sent out. Tedesco had quite a bit of criticism on his attitude lately. The team will also continue watching Felix Platte's progress more closely and is planning to keep him through training camp for now. https://www.transfermarkt.de/schalk...i-uns-die-nummer-25-zu-sein-/view/news/282511
Arne Maier looks like one of the winners from Hertha's summer training camp. While Sinan Kurt looks increasingly likely to be sold or sent out on loan. https://www.ligainsider.de/sinan-kurt_3393/wechselkandidat-bei-hertha-bsc-215640/

If they have Burgstaller, Embolo n DI Santo... n playing a one striker formation. I don't think Platte will be used even if he stays in Schalke He can be loaned out for two other seasons. Probably a club like Hannover, Mainz or even Gladbach will be good for his development
http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/...e-evina-26-co-_jungs-mit-grosser-zukunft.html Kicker's list of youth players who have made a positive impression this summer during training camp includes: -Jann-Fiete Arp - Hamburger SV -Palko Dardai - Hertha BSC -Johannes Eggestein - Werder Bremen -*Franck Evina - Bayern Munich -Christian Früchtl - Bayern Munich -Luke Hemmerich - Schalke 04 -Gian-Luca Itter - Wolfsburg -Arne Maier - Hertha BSC Regarding Palko Dardai, it certainly helps that his father is the club's head coach. But it seems like he has moved ahead of Nikos Zografakis as Hertha's top winger prospect from their strong '99 age group.
Did Johannes do well in pre season? I thought Kleindienst is one of the better players too even though he is 2-3 years older N Schalke's Haji Wright has done very well
I last heard that Schalke are planning to send Haji Wright out on loan. From their '98ers, only McKennie and Hemmerich will be kept with their senior squad for remainder of the training camp. Eggestein was unlucky to miss a couple weeks or so with injury. But he's making progress, and is getting closer to where he needs to be in terms of physically and maturity for the pro level.
Oh I don't think he missed anything after this Because he joined training few days after. It wasn't a serious one
