this year's Golden Shoe, which Messi has won. #18 Timo Werner. next German on the list is Gomez at #32. it's interesting to note that he's the youngest player to go 20+. Also that Italy, Spain, England, and France all play 4 games more than the Bundesliga. On top of that Werner only played 31 games out of the max 34. (Same reason why he didn't beat Dieter Muller's record of 24 goals in 34 games, because he had 3 goals less while playing 3 games less) sheesh, you look at the players above Werner and you can see that the # of games is why a lot of them are ahead. --------------------goals/caps #17 Immobile= 22/35 #16 Icardi= 24/34 #15 Sanchez= 24/38 #14 Higuain= 24/38 #13 Belotti=25/34 #12 Lukaku=25/37 #11 Modeste=25/34
Certainly unfortunate. Nürnberg have four good '97ers; Teuchert, Kammerbauer, Löwen, and Mühl. But it tapers off after that. While Greuther Fürth lost players like Wintzheimer and Tillman to Bayern.
Still think Schalke, Dortmund, Hoffenheim, Wolfsburg, Leverkusen, Leipzig have the best youth academies in Germany Bayern did well this season but we have to see if they can keep up with the consistency Stuttgart is a strange one. They can produce very very good striker prospects(Gomez, Selke, Timo Werner, Hottmann, Bleart Dautaj n now David Hummel look to be decent players/prospects) ... but not so much at other positions David Hummel is by far the best player born in 2002
A player is chilling in old Hertha Shorts. That means of course that he is now a player of this Club Sometimes you guys are funny. So is there any confirmation yet?
Then why is he wearing old Hertha shorts ? He was born and raised in Hannover and is a Dortmund player at the moment. Why would he support Hertha? Hertha is a club that doesn't have that many fans as they've been crap for a long time.
Wolfsburg win 1-0 and as such stay in the Bundesliga after winning 2-0 on aggregate. and with this Jannes Horn's obligations are done!!!
Mittelstädt is suspended for the match against Zambia. Horn should arrive a few hours before the match. He is unlikely to start but might come off the bench (although that's also unlikely). I guess Streichsbier will use Schad at left back?? That's a big worry. If I were the coach, I would put Bader as the left wing-back, Neumann as the right wing-back with Ananou, Gimber and Torunarigha in the back three. If possible, Badu and Schad should stay on the bench. Unfortunately Fechner will have to play since Neuhaus is still in Germany. http://www.dfb.de/u-20-maenner/news-detail-u-20/streichsbier-wir-muessen-uns-steigern-168283/ Streichsbier says that all the coaches and players are not satisfied with the performances so far and they know that they need to step up. The Vanuatu match was a big wake up call. I hope to see a better performance. The automatisms should improve with every match and training session.
I think it was dumb to bother with players that had potential playoffs. So in the end in a squad of 21 players. We only had 19 max and take out the 2 reserve keepers and that only leaves 17 options. As this means that Horn and Neuhaus aren't playing until the QF, assuming we even make it that far. Oh and if Mittelstädt is suspended then that only leaves 16 players...... I'm not sure Badu will stay on the bench, as he scored the opening goal vs Vanuatu, which might give him some brownie points. Yeah they need to step up as they've been pretty bad during the tournament. The good news is that Zambia have conceded goals in every game they've played, while we have 1 clean sheet. We've both conceded 4 goals although they've scored 2X the number of goals we have.
John Anthony Brooks is about to transfer to Wolfsburg for 20 Mio. Looks like this should mean Torunarigha will grow into a larger role next season for Hertha, while someone like Florian Baak could begin integrating with the senior squad. http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/...o-euro_brooks-vor-wechsel-nach-wolfsburg.html
RB Leipzig has signed Galatasaray winger Bruma for €18m. Abouchabaka's and Kühn's chances of a first team breakthrough just got slimmer.
not necessarily when RB are playing 3 fronts at a time, they need more players. And more resting for some regulars. Even as a subs they could have chances. as for Brooks yeah it does open up plenty of chances for German youth. Especially since for some reason almost all of Hertha's German players are on the defensive side.
Our group opponents Venezuela U20s eliminated Japan in extra time. 1-0 was the final score. Portugal beat hosts South Korea 3-1. Nice one from Portugal, defending Europe's pride. IIRC, Portugal were the best team in the last U20 WC and were very unlucky to be eliminated in the quarter finals. Saudi Arabia is the only Asian team left and they should be knocked out tomorrow by the Uruguayans who are one of the favorites to win the whole thing. There will be no Asian teams in the quarter finals. Asian teams are weak as expected.
and now it's 2-0 HT, in the 2nd leg and 3-1 overall. And that gives Regensburg 2 away goals, so 1860 needs 3 goals in the 2nd half....
The only positive was Neuhaus' performance, especially in the first half. He channeled his inner Iniesta a few times today. He slipped two beautiful through balls in that first half. His 2nd through ball was after he had gone past 3 Regensburg players. Also in the first half, there was one instance where he evaded his marker with a delightful touch. He had two or three good scenes in the 2nd half as well. The problem for him was that 1860's goalkeeper and CBs played (aimless/inaccurate) long balls like 95% of the time so Neuhaus saw very little of the ball. Regensburg's defenders won most of the aerial duels and 1860 weren't good at winning the second balls either. Regensburg passed and moved the ball really well. They showed very good understanding/cohesion/interplay. Sechzig were thoroughly outplayed. Neuhaus' partner in midfield Liendl was terrible, losing the ball cheaply the few times he got the ball. Aigner and the blond striker were awful and rightly hooked at half time. Anyway, when is the next flight from Munich to Korea ? Our match against Zambia is in 16 hours. It takes about 13-14 hours to get to Seogwipo, Jeju Island.
Fullmatch: U 16-Länderspiel Deutschland vs. Frankreich http://tv.dfb.de/video/fullmatch-u-16-laenderspiel-deutschland-vs-frankreich/17845/ We got spanked 5-2 lol No Antonis Aidonis who is our best CB, but his absence aside, it was our best possible starting eleven. How the hell did we lose so badly??? I will watch it later.
@timh19 you think Neuhaus should move instead of playing in the 3rd division? in other news Swanseas seems to be in the running to buy Selke... http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/swanseacity/news/45776/ what a dreadful potential transfer. I still think that Selke needs to prove himself in the Bundesliga before wanting to move abroad.
Ian Ayre and Vitor Pereira raus! http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/...h-dem-abstieg_pereira-deutet-abschied-an.html
Greuther Fürth are about to sign '97-born GK. Timo Königsmann from Hannover. http://m.bild.de/sport/fussball/gre...-wechsel-nach-fuerth-51974734.bildMobile.html
So is the RB Leipzig academy just a bunch of smoke and mirrors? Based on the Transfermarkt summer departures list, several players on their U19 squad are set to leave. Hamburg-born Bosnian international, Ermedin Demirovic has already signed a deal to join Deportivo Alaves in Spain. Others like Julian Chabot and Paul Grauschopf are also set to become free agents. Agyemang Diawusie is going out on loan to Wehen Wiesbaden in the 3.Liga. They've already cut ties with Renat Dadachov and Idrissa Toure. While Vitaly Janelt is loaned out at Bochum and not expected to return to them in the long-term.
Playing in the 3rd division at the age of 20 with his talent isn't ideal but it's not the end of the world. It will be interesting to see whether he will receive offers and what he decides if he does.
Leipzig's now a Champions League club. Their youth products need to be something special to make it there. Janelt is not expected to return to them in the long-term? What makes you say that? Chabot might have some potential so I'm surprised they are getting rid of him so quickly but the others aren't that great.
Bochum have a purchase option already set on that loan move. Barring any drastic changes, they will highly likely follow through with that. With the way his game is gradually growing, Janelt may not necessarily stay there long. But Bochum can utilize this option and make a profit selling him to a larger club eventually. As mentioned here, the original intention of RBL was basically to help him and those others to find new clubs. https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/5ncu3k/janelt_touré_and_dadashov_supposedly_cut_from_rb/
