Herrmann delivered when it counted the most and was the deciding factor for Gladbach gaining full 6 points from these two results. Voted MOTM as well on both occasions.
Mark Uth with 2 assists in Heerenveen's huge 3-1 win over Feyenoord. Great impact on the final goal. Drawing in 4 defenders on the forward charge, then connected on a pass to his teammate emerging into the open space created.
5 - Mark Uth created five chances (incl. 2 assists) vs Feyenoord, more than any other player on the pitch. Polished. pic.twitter.com/jLyb8iwZzm— OptaJohan (@OptaJohan) February 4, 2015
Sweet assist from Emre Can. Really changed the momentum as he pushed forward late in the game and ignited Liverpool's comeback victory. Brendan Rodgers: "You see his stature in the game; he can defend, he's quick & powerful, then you see his pass for the goal- wonderful." More praise: http://www.squawka.com/news/the-combination-of-alonso-and-mascherano-fans-react-to-emre-cans/292977 http://www.thisisanfield.com/2015/02/emre-can-class-shines-liverpool-edge-past-10-man-bolton/
Andre Schürrle looking good is his first Wolfsburg game. Very active involvement in the opening frame against Hoffenheim, assisting on the first goal with a nice cross into the box. Minutes later nearly connects as he dribbles past defenders and rounds the keeper. Second goal then comes off a rebound from his strike off the crossbar.
Emre Can shines in his first Merseyside derby and was rated as Man of the Match. Was a beast defensively the entire game, as he was given the task of marking Lukaku. He shut him down thoroughly, showed tremendous strength often beating him at 1-on-1 duels and tackles. One particular great scene where he out-paced Lukaku on the chase, held him off the duel, and owned him twice again with consecutive dribble turn moves. It's also Liverpool's 4th straight PL clean sheet. Can just continues to get better and better.
Another goal and two assists for Mark Uth, as Heerenveen win 4-0 versus a top 3 team PEC Zwolle. That last assist was a beauty, dekes around a defender and slots in a key through ball into the middle. Newcastle is the latest team who are keeping tabs on signing Uth.
Emre Can is so highly rated by Liverpool fans lately. I also think he is playing great for Liverpool Will he be called up? He has Schweinsteiger, Kroos, Kramer, Benders and co. as competitors... but maybe loew can play him as a fullback, feels like he can play anywhere
What about testing the 3 back lineup with the NT? Works at Bayern. Müller Reus Götze ?? Schweinsteiger Kroos ?? Can Hummels Boateng Neuer Just throwing the idea out there. No clue what to do at the wingback positions.
Löw's probably not adventurous enough to try it, but I wouldn't mind fiddling around a bit with it. Jogi did try a three-CB formation that looked similar before EURO 2012, saying it was experimentation for a desperate, all-out attack situation in which Germany would be chasing the game. To be honest, IMO, Jogi's right, I think the way you make that formation work is you stick two attackers in the WB slots, say Schürrle and Bellarabi, and you would use it as a kitchen-sink formation. Also, Gündoğan>Kroos.
Can has a long way to go before he knocks out Howedes/Mustafi as CB.....unless he plays at RB which he can seeing his position in Liverpool games, he doesn't have chance at this moment to play in CB position
Mustafi has been immense for Valencia this season. And has more experience apparently I think Emre even has a chance at his natural position at DM
Mustafi is having a good season, but come on, Can is much more talented than Mustafi. And I do like Mustafi.
9 - Mark Uth scored (2) or assisted (7) a goal in each of his six Eredivisie games in 2015 for @scHeerenveen. Valuable.— OptaJohan (@OptaJohan) February 22, 2015
Base on form: GK) Neuer, Zieler, Horn DF) Howedes, Badstuber, Mustafi, Boateng, Hector, Schmelzer, Castro MF) Gundogan, Emre Can, Geis, Kroos, Mueller, Oezil, Goetze, Reus, Schuerrle, Volland CF) Joselu(?) , Mark Uth
Joselu-which form do you exactly mean? You are obsessed And my Kölner Uth-good form in HOLLAND - let this guy perform in Germany or England and we can talk again
We still need a striker as alternative plan. We need one striker as much as we need a keeper in the squad What other suggestions do u have? Don't just criticize
