Seems like there's really no place for Mario Götze in Favre's new system at Dortmund. Wonder where he would be a fit at next. Maybe joining Schürrle at Fulham? Karius at Besiktas? Feyenoord just for the hell of it? https://www.90min.de/posts/6160402-...der-spielertyp-mario-goetze-ist-nicht-gefragt
Andre Schurrle (league only) Dortmund: 3 goals and 9 assists in 33 games Fulham: 2 goals in 4 games lol, scoring wise already only 1 away from tying his 2 season at Dortmund. Mustafi scored for Arsenal in a 3-2 win. https://streamable.com/vk6ix Zimmerman scores vs RB as the game is 1-1. Assist by Giesselmann. https://streamja.com/laPw
Maximilian Philipp has been given the all clear after further examination showed it's just a bruised nose. He's expected to be back in time after the international break. https://www.90min.de/posts/6160675-nach-auswechslung-in-hannover-entwarnung-bei-maximilian-philipp
Moritz Leitner scores in Norwich's 1-1 draw vs Ipswich Town. The team's struggles continue though as they've only got 5 points after 6 match days, and sit at 17th place in the Championship.
not a great start for any German striker in terms of scoring. only scorers Weydandt and Ginczek. And neither was a starter in any game. of course it's very early but after 2 games that's the results.

finally back in Germany, from Greece League to 3rd Liga. Die Gerüchte gab es schon - nun habt ihr Gewissheit 😉 Willkommen beim KFC Uerdingen, Samed Yesil 💙❤️ https://t.co/tVEgmURUCR— KFC Uerdingen 05 (@KFC_Uerdingen) September 3, 2018
The road to redemption continues for Yesil. Still quite some ways to go. But hope he's able to score at least 10 goals this season. Uerdingen looking pretty competitive so far and could remain in contention for a promotion spot.
Philipp Max joins SportsTotal, the same player agency company as Toni Kroos and Marco Reus https://m.bild.de/sport/fussball/fu...rater-von-toni-kroos-57046200.bildMobile.html
Schürrle and Götze vacationing in Mallorca during international break with their significant others. Maybe he's trying to convince him to join Fulham https://m.bild.de/sport/fussball/na...schippert-nach-malle-57067670.bildMobile.html
Hany Mukhtar scored his first Danish league goal of the season, in Brondby's 1-1 draw vs Midtjylland. Antonio Rüdiger: Has won possession in the defensive third more times (23) than any other player in Europe's top five leagues this seasonFor more player stats -- https://t.co/0RDdR3fT2i pic.twitter.com/GVNoJR7MwF— WhoScored.com (@WhoScored) September 4, 2018
This number is a bit misleading, the EPL has played more games than every other league so it's no wonder that Rüdiger has most won possessions when he's leading the EPL table. Still, it's a great accomplishment.
looks like both Selke and Halstenberg are back as they played friendly games today. Selke also scored once in a 3-0 win for Hertha.
Apparently Johannes Geis leaving Schalke isn't completely off the table yet. The club has been in talks with an interested club this week. However issue is that the transfer window is already closed in most countries. Guessing it could be a club in MLS or Australia lol. I don't know if Russia is still open maybe he joins Höwedes at Lokomotiv http://www.fussballtransfers.com/nachricht/schalke-04-geis-abschied-noch-nicht-vom-tisch_95518
Dortmund president Reinhard Rauball sees Mario Götze's qualities as a player but also questions if he's a fit in Favre's system anymore. http://www.sportbuzzer.de/artikel/m...einhard-rauball-system-taktik-bank-reservist/
That is pretty much the question we (BVB supporters) have as well. Kagawa has the same problem. What remains to be seen is how flexible Favre is regarding the system. If he only has one system, it's going to be a problem for Götze. The last BL game was pretty awful and lacked creativity. When I went through the various Frankfurt formations to see where Wolf was used, I was wondering how Kovac's philosophy would transfer over to Bayern. That question isn't relevant anymore because he seems way less dogmatic. I prefer the pragmatic approach of finding the best system for the players you have.
It'll be interesting to see whether Weigl can work his way back into the starting XI. As this point, it looks like Delaney, Witsel, and Dahoud have formed Favre's ideal midfield trio. From what I've seen Dahoud has made strides so far this season. Still has room and potential to further improve, but I think he's shown to be better than how he was when first arriving at BVB. While Delaney is overall solid, and Witsel is the must have player that Favre wanted to bring in. Bruun Larsen's emergence should put pressure on the other wingers like Pulisic, Wolf, and Philipp. But some competition could bring out the best from those players.
Andre Schürrle suddenly becoming a scoring machine. Don't think he's been this good since the 7-1 match vs Brazil ages ago FT: It’s all over here at the @PinatarArena. A second half @Andre_Schuerrle goal enough to see the Whites pick up the win. #COYW pic.twitter.com/O28iI0MFnx— Fulham Football Club (@FulhamFC) September 8, 2018
