In Huddersfield's 0-0 draw vs Man City, almost half the defense were German players in Schindler and Lowe. Seems like Huddersfield played with 3 CBs and 2 fullbacks. In that game, Schindler was said to have played very well, keeping Gabriel Jesus at bay the whole game. While Lowe played his 1st game since March and was said to have done a fantastic job.

Walke and Yabo are Austrian Champs.

in other news, long forgotten man Samed Yesil, who's career has been ruined by constant injuries and who likely won't ever reach the potential he exhibited as a youth, scored in a 2-0 win. It was also his 1st start since Feb.

not a great season in Greek Football.
It was his 3rd goal of the season in League play

    and ended up with
8 goals and 1 assists in 31 games in all competition.

still has a year left on his contract, although would be nice to see him either go to 2BL or a higher level league than the Greek one.

looks like Stuttgart still have interest in him. Seems like a guy who's choice might depend on whether he's in Kovac's plans or not.

it happens especially with Austrians, more than once I thought the same but the inverse, that some players were German but ended up being Austrian.

I guess it's because so many Austrians move to the German Bundesliga. Some like Florian Grillitsch, Marco Friedl, and Alessandro Schöpf even moved when they were still youth players. David Alaba as well, although it's well know that he's an Austrian international.

There's also guys like Martin Harnik and Moritz Leitner who are both dual nationals from their parents, although exact inverses of each other.

most rumors have Henrichs to EPL. With both Manchester clubs and Chelsea interested in him.

    here's the confirmation until 2023.

Trapp and Draxler won the French cup today, so a domestic double this season.

another German player that seems headed to Serie A but yeah his lack of game time recently isn't good. He could also struggle in a new and more demanding league.

there is like what 6-7 German players in Turkey. The ones like Gunter who are on the young side of things need to try to go to a better league.

was already obvious but now official confirmation, Huth is out of Leicester.

played a major role in their shock EPL win a few seasons ago, injuries is what ruined him.

also Schwaab is in the Eredivisie Team of the season.

Wonder how things may have been different if Günter moved to a smaller club with the BL instead, or even somewhere in Holland, Belgium, or Denmark, etc.

From the '94 class, seems like him and Yesil have fallen the most. While Emre Can and Weiser have done well. Ducksch has finally gotten back on track.

Shame that Günter and Marian Saar, who were both considered decent talents at Dortmund haven't made it that far on the pro level.
