I think we will get our chance in the WC this summer. The 2010 match was also an example of a poor line-up choice by Loew. He played Trochowski in Mueller's absence rather than starting the match with Kroos on the wing.
Kroos was nobody in 2010...Muller was nobody too but established himself....Spain was simply the best team that tournament and we badly missed Muller...as simple as that....
Spain suck, they were not the best team in 2010, they could barely score and won so many games unconvincingly. The freaking Swiss led by Hitzfeld beat them, lol.
Spain was barely scraping by with 1 goal wins. One of the most unimpressive winners I've ever seen. Kroos had just completed his breakout season at Leverkusen under Jupp Heynckes and was playing in an advanced wide midfield role. He was the obvious choice.
12 - Philipp #Max (@FCAugsburg) has set up 12 #Bundesliga goals this season, more than any other defender since detailed data collection started in 2004-05, surpassing Philipp Lahm (11 assists, 2012-13). Record. #FCASVW pic.twitter.com/0BElBd8Evz— OptaFranz (@OptaFranz) March 17, 2018
BREAKING: Julian Weigl, defensive migfielder of Borussia Dortmund, is the main target of Manchester City for summer. The German player wants to sign for the team too. There are a lot of chances that this will be done. @elchiringuitotv @chirichampions— Jose Alvarez Haya (@10JoseAlvarez) March 30, 2018 also an update on Younes. http://gianlucadimarzio.com/en/agen...eting-with-sarri-positive-the-truth-about-his
Low excludes Weigl because of injuries and not being 100% there because he's yet to find his best this season because of that injury that happened last season. He did after all make the EC16 squad, while only being 20. Weigl, Sane, Demme, Volland, Tah are all players who missed out on the CC because of injuries. Wouldn't be surprised if Weigl would have been in the CC squad instead of Rudy. Had he made the CC and not gotten a long injury, he would likely have been in strong consideration for the WC. now he needs to reestablish himself.
Holtby scores his 2nd goal of the season to give Hamburg the 1-0 lead. https://streamable.com/6wwj2 Gnabry scores his 6th goal of the season to give Hoff the 1-0 lead. Assist by Hubner. Very nice dribbling and goal by Gnabry!!! https://streamable.com/1f0o5

Khedira with a goal and an assist as Juventus won 3-1 vs AC Milan. His 3rd assist of the season to make it 2-1. https://streamable.com/3lhlk and his 7th goal of the season to make it 3-1. https://streamable.com/nwqpp In other news, PSG beat Monaco 3-0 in the Coupe de la Ligue finale to win that trophy. Trapp kept a clean sheet while Draxler played 81 minutes.
Was Rudiger playing in midfield today? Saw the highlights and looked like he was never in defense rather all the way up towards the midfield for 2nd and 3rd Spurs goal...was he deployed as a DM or he was CB but playing higher up on the pitch ?
This whole Younes debacle is confusing. Reports in Germany say he will sign a 4 year deal with Wolfsburg while he's supposedly on contract with Napoli for the next 5 years..... also after his refusal to be a substitute during a game, looks like he's done at Ajax for the rest of the season. So unprofessional.
Weigl under Pep could be a very useful NT player that's for sure, as he would develop even more than staying at Dortmund. in other news Hany Mukhtar with his 10th assist of the season as Brondby wins again. Getting closer to winning both the league and a shot at CL football.
He had a severe injury last season that he rushed back from. Combine that with the general state of BVB and its coaching and anyone would look sub-par. If BVB gets a proper coach next season and he fully heals up, I expect him to be back to his best.
on loan from Serie A club Crotone to Serie B club Foggia, Oliver Kragl is attracting attention of numerous Serie A clubs, namely Udinese. In Serie B since joining this Winter Kragl is at 5 goals and 4 assists in 10 games.
On spielverlagerung they basically say that the game against Brasil Germany where under huge pressure because the Brazilians did high pressing against them. ... Seeing the games last night the first half between Sevilla and Bayern Sevillia also pressed bayern high..... So loew Will have to work on that..... Against better teams...maybe three at the back ? They dint have a report about the Spain game..... Normally high pressing means , gaps open up and counters are possible. Thats why again I must say they did not use Sane speed for that properly. I guess with Werner , Muller , oezil and Hummels on the team it will be better ....
Three at the back will be a solution to high pressing More players in the own half and easier to pass to
