Julian Weigl looks to be the favored option at the six position for Bosz at Dortmund. http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/...tikel_weigl-ist-favorit-fuer-anker-platz.html Dardai considers the lineup option of starting Selke and Ibisevic together as double strikers. http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/...804/artikel_wagt-dardai-die-doppelspitze.html
Several 2BL clubs are interested in bringing Marvin Stefaniak on loan during the winter transfer window. He has yet to play for Wolfsburg since joining them in summer due to injury and recently just getting back to fitness. http://www.90min.de/posts/5812674-z...lden-interesse-an-wolfsburgs-marvin-stefaniak
Apart from Marc-Oliver Kempf, Stuttgart are also keeping tabs on Kevin Akpoguma. https://www.ligainsider.de/mobile/kevin-akpoguma_2477/beim-vfb-stuttgart-unter-beobachtung-231225/
Dortmund's starting XI vs Stuttgart I bims, die BVB-Startelf: Bürki, Bartra, Yarmolenko, Götze, Toljan, Philipp, Schürrle, Kagawa, Sokratis, Schmelzer, Weigl. #vfbbvb #ibims pic.twitter.com/F880LNkTT7— Borussia Dortmund (@BVB) November 17, 2017
Schürrle misses a penalty, but Philipp is there to tap in the rebound to level the match 1-1 at HT. Philipp's 6th BL goal of the season. Ginczek had to leave the match due to what appears to be an injury, but he way able to walk off by himself somewhat normally.
I think it's unlikely but according to this report, PSG might be offering 50 Mio plus Kevin Trapp in exchange for Julian Weigl. http://www.fussballtransfers.com/bundesliga/bvb-mega-tauschgeschaft-mit-psg_84377
Arsenal up 2-0 on Tottenham at HT. Mustafi with the opening goal, assisted by Özil. https://www.imgvids.com/play/video/a9c369b300973878fc4d80b7a7a52f83
Henrichs comes off the bench only to be red carded for a handball and the game is now 2-1 for RB with a 2nd PK.
I think it was a right call by the ref. But unfortunate luck for Henrichs, as the ball was basically shot at his arm/elbow. That usually would have been a yellow if it was outside the box. But I guess it was heightened because that was a goal clearance play.
10 men Bayer are playing better than 11 men RB. With Havertz, Brandt and Volland coming close numerous times. while up top Werner is outplaying defenders and drawing fouls and cards.
Leipzig have looked poor defensively. Volland just scored an equalizer at 2-2. Nice job picking out the far post opening from that corner set piece.
Uth scores an injury time equalizer his 6th goal of the season. assist by recently returned from injury Gnabry.
Gerhardt also had his second assist for today, on Wolfsburg's third goal vs Freiburg. It's their first win under new coach Martin Schmidt.
Uth has continued to outshine Wagner this season. Shame that he wasn't match fit during the previous set of international friendlies. Him, Philipp, and Volland have been some of the more productive players in the BL this season and deserve at least a call up.
here's the goal. https://imgtc.com/w/uV4hxBs I was just about to say the same thing outside of Werner all of the most productive BL players are non NT factors, which is very strange.
Werner and Sane have been the German players with best overall form and productivity this season so far. IMO based on form this season Uth, Volland, and Philipp should have been chosen ahead of Wagner, Brandt, and Götze in the most recent NT nominations. I think Brandt will be there for the future, but Philipp has played better this campaign and deserves a chance. I watched Dortmund lose yesterday against Stuttgart. Götze appears to be more active and involved with some movements but I'm not convinced yet that he's at a high level again. At least not right now. Schürrle looked awful and I sure hope he's nowhere near the NT radar. Draxler is debatable too, but I guess he's been playing more regularly and consistently lately for PSG. Özil also appears to be trending upward again.
Draxler is back on the bench. Draxler has 2 goals and 2 assists in 10 games this season but look at it closely. 1 goal and 1 assist happened in a 6-2 win. the other 1 goal and 1 assist happened in a 5-0 win. CL, 2 assist in 4 games 1 assist in a 5-0 win 1 assist in a 5-0 win notice the trend, his only goals and assist happen when his team are trashing others. Another than should not have been called up was Younes, why not call up Philipp instead??? Gotze is a coach favorite, so even if his production is low, he'll get called up. From interviews, it seems like Low, Bierhoff are very high on Gotze, Gundo, and Reus. Schurrle, I would say too early to judge but currently there are better players.
Davie Selke gets his first BL start of the season for Hertha vs Gladbach, as he features up top in a double striker formation.
