Weigl's return will be a big boost for BVB. With a strong campaign, he could challenge a spot for the WC. If he keeps it up, I think Philipp deserved a chance too. Already a talented player with Freiburg last season, and beginning to transfer that to a higher level now. Could be a better option than Gnabry and Younes IMO.

I just hope we never see a Weigl and Kroos together in the starting XI alone in midfield. Which is what happened in that friendly vs England this year and the Brits dominated the mid because of that. They both played too much alike. And I want him to get to the next level too, I remember in the friendly vs Italy, he didn't play well, looked out of place. Good practice/experience tho. Another strong campaign (injury free) should help him develop.

as for Philip, I think Younes won't make the final squad. His situation is like Demirbay, Wagner, Demme etc. An injury free German team means there is no space for them. For Philipp, had a good season last year, helped Freiburg reach EL but then struggled a bit in the EC U21. He actually finished the U21 with 10 caps 0 goals.Took him a few games to settle in at Dortmund but now he seems like you said transfer to a higher level.

I'm hoping that Low will give chances to players like Philipp, Toljan and a few others. If not in the Oct WCQ, then at least in the 2 friendly games in Nov.

May be a longshot nomination at this point for the LB position. But I actually think Augsburg's Philipp Max has started the season well for his club. Good run of form right now. Had a goal and assist in their win vs Frankfurt, and also assisted in the previous match win against Köln.

Yes....it would be crazy if the NT had Max Philipp and Philipp Max at the same time. :whistling:

I've kept track of him overall this season 1 goal, 2 assists in 4 games like you said. Seems to be doing well and helping his club to 7 pts with the top of the table at 10 only. Max himself has been involved in almost half of Augsburg's goals this season. Was also a part of the 2016 German Olympics, silver medal campaign.

It's weird to realize that he's the son of 90s/early 00s 2X Bundesliga top scorer Martin Max.

Do u guys think Mark Uth has no chance at all for the WC?

I actually see him as the direct backup/replacement of Timo Werner.

List of criteria for Uth to realistically get nominated for WC:

-Overtake Wagner as a regular starter in his club's starting XI
-Stay healthy and score at least 12-15 or more goals in the BL
-Hoffenheim to at least advance past the Europa league group stages and do reasonably well in the KO rounds

If Gomez is injured when tournament time comes around then that is also an additional factor that works towards Uth's benefit. I think he still has better chances than Volland right now. But as things stand he has Werner, Gomez, and Stindl ahead of him in the perspective of Jogi.

Do u think he is ahead of Sandro Wagner for now?

I think in Hoffenheim, Kamaric is a definite starter and Wagner/Uth rotates depends on opponent

Wagner just was a filler this summer. I don't see him being nominated unless several players get injured.

Why do they tell us this now rather than stay reliable and only talk to the player? It's a strategy to put the blame on Goretzka because he seemed to already made his mind.

Schalke's player management has gone to the dumps. They made good profits on Draxler and Sane previously. But have since then lost Matip and Kolasinac for free. And are at now at high risk of losing Goretzka, Meyer, and probably Kehrer.

We are so lucky cuz we have Ter Stegen, we don't need to worry about first choice

    My squad for upcomin' matches
As you know there is several inyured players so

    Ter Stegen, Fahrmann, Leno

    Henrichs, Kimmich, Sule,Hummels,Boateng,Rudiger

    Kroos,Weigl,Rudy, Khedira,Goretzka, Gundogan*, Ozil

    Sane,Draxler, Muller, Stindl, Werner

*Gundogan should get call up if he play every game for Man City until international breake

    Some thing with Gotze

Brandt extremely disappointed as in Bayer as in NT, he do nothing.
Can , is player for wild football systems, if you want to see how useless he is , check out CC final game.

Henrichs can't even get playing time now in Leverkusen

He is not ready. I wouldn't even start him for U21

Götze imo hasn't done enough yet again to earn a callup. Let him instead concentrate on his season with BVB. Götze can be brought in in no time if he can rise his game. The same is true for Gündogan.

Wagner scores in his 2nd consecutive game (2nd League goal of the season), to make the game 2-2. His 4th goal in all competition this season.

Hannover getting results in the league so far. Leverkusen still sucking and lacking quality.

Uth is clinical. It was a nice right footed volley by the lefty

Mainz were by far the better side tho
