so Ajax trashed Lyon 4-1, with Amin Younes scoring his 2nd consecutive Europa goal and 4th Europa goal of the season. And with that it's all but certain that Ajax will be in the final.

so the question is, should Younes be given a chance at the Confederations Cup?

I'd give Younes a chance. He's had a productive season overall and scored in some big games on the Europa League against both Schalke and Lyon.

I saw parts of the match and if Younes was more efficient he would have scored a hat trick vs Lyon. That's something he needs to work on.

I recall Horst Hrubesch praised both Younes and Sane's dribbling skills. So that's a skill he possess that most of our players seem to lack.

do you think he should return to the German League or should he stay at Ajax next season? His contract expires in Summer 2018.

Ajax have a club option for an additional year which brings it to 2019 if they choose to do so. With the way he's been playing, they'll most likely follow through with that option.

Younes has developed well there which is great to see. But at some point he needs to move on as the good players outgrow that league.

His performances in Europa show he's ready to be tested at another level. I think one season more at most with Ajax is fine. Continue to refine his game and collect experience in Europe. After that, the Bundesliga or La Liga would be a good fit for him.

would be interesting to see another German outfield player besides Kroos playing in Spain.

there are plenty of rumors of some of the youngsters like Amiri to Atletico or Henrichs, etc to Spain.

Bittencourt assists Modeste to give Koln 1-0 lead.
it was his 6th assist of the season.

    update 1
while also scoring the 2nd to make it 2-0. His 3rd of the season.

    update 2
another assist by Bittencourt, he's been involved in all 3 Koln goals. It's now 3-2 at HT.

Hahn saved Gladbach at the last second to get them 1 point, his 3rd of the season.
Didavi scored his 4th of the season.

it might be for the best but from both Reus and Tuchel's comments, it does seem like Reus might avoid the Confederations Cup.

I don't blame either one and they aren't wrong. Well if that's the case than got to look at the +.
No Reus, gets him rest for the WC and opens up a space for another player. Not like Reus is young either, he'll be 29 during the WC18. His Confederations Cup spot can go to a younger player that would otherwise have missed the tourney.
