  3. In a Dutch article I read that what Favre is doing is combining both Atletico and Liverpool style of play. Defensive counter attack style when not in possesion or with the ball in the own half of the pitch and Liverpool style when in possision of the ball in the opponents half or when the ball is on the opponents half with most of the players there. So depending on the situation in the match the players have to switch from Atletico into Liverpool style and vice versa.Wonder if the players are up to it.

Frank Wormuth's Heracles Almelo bounces back on the positive side with a 3-2 win vs AZ Alkmaar.

Apart from last week's thrashing by Willem II, it looks like Heracles remain in decent shape to begin the season. 2 W, 1 D, 1 L, 7 points after 4 match days. Also operating on one of the smaller team budgets in the Eredivisie.

  5. Seems they make it a habit taking points from the top clubs, but being spanked by low flyers.

In other words, Heracles will find a way to dramatically end up somewhere mid-table.

  7. Every Heracles fan would immediatey put his signature under that "agreement":D

Franco Foda is now at 6 W - 1 L as head coach of the Austrian NT, after beating Sweden 2-0.

Roger Schmidt's Beijing Guoan remain in first place of the Chinese Super League after 21 match days. Although with only a 1 point lead over second place Shanghai SIPG.

wonder how long Herrlich and Tedesco have left before they get the sack?

one has to wonder if Hassenhuttl would be likely choice for replacement for either.

Tedesco is a case of someone who should have learned to walk before you run. He didn't even complete an entire season with his former 2.Liga club before moving onto a Top 6 first division side in Schalke. As a young coach, he needs to build up a stronger resume and experience first or else he's going to get torched at the highest level. Him and Herrlich don't have any excuses at this point, because so far they've only been playing league and Pokal matches just like everyone else. They didn't need to play any European qualifiers.

I think Nagelsmann is also going through what may be the most challenging point in his coaching career as well. His club is suffering from injuries, but I think tactically they're struggling as well. It's going to be tough as they have CL coming up too.

Meanwhile, David Wagner is probably the EPL coach who has the highest odds of getting sacked first as they continue their awful start to the season.

Add Hannes Wolf to that list of too quick of a jump.

looks like the trend of young managers are starting to struggle domestically. Whether they move past it or not will be interesting to watch.

Longevity of coaches is becoming a concern. Several years ago Weinzierl was someone who was put in the same sentence as Tuchel for young coaches of the future. Same as Hannes Wolf, Tedesco being promising like Nagelsmann. There's also Roger Schmidt who's now in China.

Marco Rose's inability to guide RB Salzburg into CL IMO shows that they're still stuck in being a big fish in a small pond (Austrian league) but not able to compete among the top in Europe.

Then there's other guys like Gisdol and Slomka who after poor tenures appear to have fallen out completely in the coaching landscape.

Frank Wormuth's Heracles Almelo won 5-3 away at Heerenveen. They're now with 10 points after match day 5.

Zorniger is crashing in Denmark as well. Seems like a good chunk of the coaches abroad are struggling.

Zorniger was considered as a mediocre maybe even subpar coach back in Germany. Similar to someone like Gisdol tbh. He missed his best chance at winning the Danish league title with Brondby last season. Sadly I do not see him coming close again. Kobenhavn are back to having the greater resources and talent base advantage.
