Short video segment and interview (in Spanish) from ESPN Argentina: George Acosta, de Miami a La Boca sin escalas...
Great short segment. Thanks for posting Scotty. The only sad part (for me) is hearing a Colombiano speak like an Argento.
Haha I noticed that too thought it was kind of weird but I think I remember reading somewhere he didn’t really speak much Spanish growing up so makes sense he got an Argentine accent now

Boca played a reserve game today and Acosta was nowhere to be found. Yeah, he had been missing from their gameday rosters for the last few months. And oddly, it was after they had promoted him from the oldest youth team (U-19?) to the reserves, where he had even scored for them. Strange. Hopefully a reporter can get an update from him at the U-23 camp.
Seems as if Becks is wooing him. That could account for the unattached status. http://www.hastingstribune.com/spor...cle_19622059-58e6-5763-815b-671308d49832.html They also have been scouring the world for young, up-and-coming talent. Among the players on their radar is 19-year-old George Acosta, a Miami-born midfielder who played at Miami Lakes and Weston FC and is currently with Boca Juniors’ reserve team in Argentina. He has played on the U.S. Under 15, Under 17, and Under 19 teams.
They probably don't want him as their first signing since it wouldn't make a splash. Once they make some other signing, though, I wouldn't be surprised if he's signed and loaned to a USL team for the rest of the year. I like the move for him.
A little tidbit for all you USYNT freaks like me:Hearing former US U-17 and Boca Juniors U-20 George Acosta is back stateside with @AustinBoldFC. Should be officially announced in the next day or two.— Adam Whittaker Snavely (@Snaves) August 27, 2019

Great piece of soccer journalism here... providing insight into Acosta’s time at Boca and the challenges our players face. “It feels good that a team at that level wants me."I recently caught up with @georgeacostaa to talk about his time with Boca Juniors, what he's hoping to get out of this stint with @AustinBoldFC, and looking forward to going back home with @InterMiamiCF. https://t.co/4rbEuiesem— Chris Bils (@ChrisBils) October 9, 2019
