You don't have to fly really in Europe :)
Plus no one ever moved for us in the past.

Match officially moved to June. No date, but June 16 is only weekend date open, if not a weekday match.

Try to go Torino to Palermo without flying, let me know how long it takes you

That would be perfect for me if it was on that w/e. I honestly don't plan on watching most WC games, and that could be a great weekend to take my kids also to Niagara Falls, do the Maid of Mist etc.

I would be shocked if anyone in the FO thought of this. Or if they cared once it was brought to their attention.

If you would have just scheduled your official flight through the SE leadership council, you'd surely be fine

I knew they wouldnt care, but didn't hurt to ask....guess a weekend of chilling in TO.

Bound to happen to the best of us what I don't get is why they (MLS) don't carve the schedule in stone and only move games around acts of God as the insurance dept likes to say.

It hasn't happened that much, but this is twice now this season. LAFC from Monday to Tues, now this from April to June. Least the LAFC was in advance, not 2 weeks.

Moving the games around happens in every league, this time for once I have nothing to say against our FO (for this specific matter only, of course); this is MLS decision and clubs just have to suck it up; obviously MLS was going to help out TFC if they came with a similar request. In Italy, if a club advances in CL or EL and it's at a delicate stage, they will anticipate their game to friday in most cases scenario, so they have a longer time to rest.

That sucks. Similar thing happened to me last weekend. I had a business trip to London so a few weeks before I bought tix for the Tottenham / Newcastle match at Wembley that was supposed to be on Friday night. When Tottenham advanced to the FA cup quarters last month they had to move my EPL match to another date, so I was out of luck. That was going to be the highlight of my trip, although I do love London.

Toronto is a great city. Grab some ramen at Sansotei Ramen and if you get up into North Toronto, hit Adamson Barbecue.

Why not the 16th? We only get a few days to prepare and Toronto has an extra day that way. Toronto has no game until June 24th.

Few days to prepare after playing in Seattle.

Has all the ingredients to be a 3 goal loss.

We had a full week to prepare on the original schedule. Looks like a bunch of BS.

My guess is MLS didn't want to have it during the first world cup weekend. guess fly from SEA to Toronto then. ugh
and thats AFTER 3 of the previous 4 weekends we are doing west coast trips. not the 16th is so stupid.

Doesn't make sense to me though. WC games in Russia will be on in the afternoon here. A 7pm kick will be in the AM in Russia.

I agree....a weekday match after a west coast trip is in favor of TFC now. plus no traveling supporters now.

So, today I got a call from a lady at DCU - can't remember her name; she asked me if I was interested to see games at Audi Field; I told her that I will likely see some but I have been with my SG for several years now, and they are my point of reference; and, as the situation is very confused at the moment, I am not really planning on anything, and once I will understand what my SG wants to do, I will decide whether I will follow them or do things differently. She was very nice but I think she got the point because she did not try to insist. Probably I am not the first one telling her this.
