Maybe so because I wouldn’t keep anyone on the roster with that kind of offer on the table. Especially not in 2012...

Hmmm when you say "everyone" I'm curious to know who that is. Everyone who I've spoken to and anything I've read points to the fact that it was a stupid mistake and nobody is happy about it but I haven't see too many Romanisti turning their back on him. Not sure about the 100 million Roma were offered, I've never heard of that. Totti never wanted to leave although close to leaving.

While I agree that most players will jump at the chance to make more money nowadays, I believe there are still a very few left that play for more than money and to me Florenzi is one of them.

From what I hear from my romanisti family in Italy , they want DeRossi gone. Totti didn’t want to leave but he scored and Carlos Bianchi hung onto him but he was very close to making the deal. When Roma lost to Cagliari who was managed by recently fired Roma- Romanista Carlo Mazzone , Totti stayed because then Franco Sensi fired Bianchi. Zeman and then Capello loved him and the rest was history.

I guess it depends who you talk to. Correct, but it wasn't Totti who wanted to leave as you said.

Well Bianchi wanted him gone apparently but Sensi knew better. Only time will tell I guess.

Another friend of mine , Fabio Petruzzi who ptlayed for Roma also told me in an email about DeRossi. I personally think this will be his final season at the club.

I could see DDR playing in MLS. He's going to be 35 and unlike Totti DDR seems much more open and eager to try different experiences.

There were rumors DeRossi may got to MLS.Unlike past years, I don't know how willing clubs are to give high paydays to over 35's as they once were. I for one certainly wouldn't pay the salaries they gave Pirlo or Kaka.

He needed to move to MLS two years ago. I think his chance is pretty much over at this point. Which is disappointing, because I really wanted to hear every single commentator, ever single game, talk about how he elbowed McBride a decade ago.

Oh yeah that’s all we needed to hear. I’d rather hear that though than when some of the American commentators kept talking about WW2 during the World Cup held in Germany. I wished they would have given it a rest.

LMAO.. I stopped reading after I got to RB and they listed Fabinho... he hasn't played at RB in a couple of years he's a DM now. Then he lists Moses who isn't really a RB and has only played in 5 or 6 games this year. Clearly whoever put this list together really doesn't follow the game
