    I'm in Oakville
    Sir is in St. Peter
    400 lb is in Bel-Nor
    McGinty is on McCausland
    KeeperDad is in Manchester
Belly is somewhere in South County.

If you are not named, obviously you are still welcome, I just don't know where anyone else lives.

A meeting should probably be near Manchester & 270 - it's about 25 minutes for me and 400 lb - everyone else should be a little closer (KD you lucky bastard)

I know there is the Village Bar there, but it is a little small.
There's an Applebee's near Sam's at Manchester & Barrett Station
There's J. Bucks at the Mall

Kirkwood may also be an option as I don't know exactly where everyone is.

If anyone wants to travel further South, Helen Fitzgeralds (Watson & Lind.) has lots of room, but Manchester is definately more fair to 400 and Sir.

    Any other ideas?

Thursday is the only day I CANNOT do it.

So, what do you guys want to do.

We can do it my house.

Maybe it is a little out of the way, but we have a nice view.

I don't know anything in the area, but 270 and Manchester works great for me. I am busy on Sundays, but otherwise I am surprisingly free (I would prefer to avoid mondays too, but I can work around that)

I would imagine that a Saturday would work best, just more time to do stuff instead of hurrying after a work day. Whenever it is, I need a little time to notify the wife. Shoot, maybe she and possibly my Dad will want to come too!

This is a "anyone can show up" meeting and not a "meeting of the bigsoccer elders" right?

I would think it is more of the latter, as we need to get the suppoprters club moving - especially if we want to make a presence at the SIUE game.

Also, concerning the SIUE game, I think we need to meet before the weekend.

Sweet. A meeting of the Elders it is. I think if we can get our act together we can possibly gain "membership" at the SIUE and SLU games. My wife and Dad are totally in for the SLU v Indiana game.

Buffalo Wild Wings on Olive has my vote (its easy access from 270 and I work in Creve Couer). Its easy to get large groups there, and we don't have to worry about making noise because there is always noise. And we can demand that they show a soccer game!

It's about 20 minutes for me to Creve Couer. 30 in traffic. Is there another good sports bar near Manchester and 270?

    Re: Supporters Group Meeting

    Not really.

The only one I know of that is remotely close is the "Hotshots" in Manchester (about 5-10 min. west of 270)

There is a "Casa Gallardo" at 270 & Manchester. Does that seem and option to anyone?

    Re: Supporters Group Meeting

Apparently, we need to skip this supporters group thing and open a sportsbar along 270 - clearly there's a need. ;)

Not that I'm a big fan, but I would think we would be better off at the Applebees about 1/2 mile further down. They have big round tables in the bar area at most Applebees - I've never been to that particular one, however.

If we are expecting a relatively small crowd that might work. We expecting 6-10 people?

I'm just letting everybody know, that this week and weekend isn't going to work for me, i'm still at my parents house for the summer and won't be moving back till sometime next week. If it is too much of a hassel to push it back a week i will just have to be their in spirit.

If Applebee's is the most central location, then that is fine with me.

Are we thinking dinner time or after like 7:30-8pm?

I can't do Wed. or Fri.

Tuesday is the only bad night for me this week.

I'm right next to 40, and very close to I-44 so I can get anywhere fairly quickly.

We've got a little problem boys.

So, who can make it to the SIUE game on Sunday? - we can talk beforehand.

As long as the Cards game doesn't go into extra innings (I have tickets) I should be at SIUE.

We finalize a name in the morning. I can get T-shirts done for about $12 + $30 set up - can anyone do better than that? That would be 100% cotton with two color design - ex, green shirt, blue & white print (green in logo would just be the shirt.)

I am planning to go the game with my wife and kids.

Are we going with my ball background logo?

How many t-shirts is that quote for? Is there a minimum?

    Re: Supporters Group Meeting

If by "my ball background" you mean the one you drew - yes
If you have some other background involving your "ball" - I don't want any part of it. ;)

That quote is for < 12 shirts - there is a price break at 12 but I do not know what it is.

I like that logo - you did a good job incorporating everyone's ideas.

    Re: Supporters Group Meeting

I know that I haven't been posting here a lot, but I read it all the time. I'd definitely be interested in attending the meeting. I live in U-City, so anything central would be good for me. Someone mentioned Creve Coeur - that's fine. I can't seem to decipher if anything definite has been planned, no?

Unfortunately I won't be able to make it (no vehicle I'd trust to get me down there in this heat), but this Alton lurker will be there in spirit.

    Re: Supporters Group Meeting

Very funny. I posted that last night and didn't have time to post the image.

Is everyone in agreement about which logo and colors to use?

Here is the final version of the logos.

    I'm in.

Coming from the city, so something in Clayton would be ideal for me, but is seems as though most everyone else is west of there, and with the clusterf@#k that is highway 40, I figure y'all probably don't wanna head there.

I've always thought The Scottish Arms would be the perfect meeting point for us for meetings and future away games, but it doesn't sound like that's the spot, geographically.

    Re: Supporters Group Meeting

I don't think there is any day this week that everyone can make it.

So, we need as many people to show up for the SIUE game as possible.
If you have a sign or banner or drum - bring it.

Should we try to have an official meeting next week?
Exchange information, sort out officers, etc.

Should I get a hold of Cooper and let him know we are "official" and see if he needs anything from us?

Good to see all the STL faithful coming back out. I knew there were more than 6 of us.

I can't make anything this sunday....family picnic late morning and work in the evening. But that's ok, I'd rather get this rolling and just keep me informed.

So....do we have an agenda for this meeting? Website and membership details? Mission statement? Tailgating policies? :p

    Re: Supporters Group Meeting

I was thinking Scottish Arms as well. I went there for all three USA matches in WC 2006 as well as one of England's games. It seems like a footy-friendly pub, unsurprisingly, given its decor and theme. It's relatively central for most people - not to mention Forest Park PKWY is a good way to avoid the 40 mess.
