I know a lot of people hate Bradley. I don't... but God he was awful at some really important moments last night.
I think I've got a sore throat today due to all the booing of Bradley last night. Can't believe that loser gave up all 3 goals. Great comeback by the Crew. Great subs from Gregg. Grella and Hansen just weren't getting the job done last night. I've been a fan of Argudo all season. Was that a new position for him last night, or has he played that deep in the center before? Looked from my vantage point like they wanted to get the SaveTheCrew banner in the background. Thanks, Crew players!
This is spot on. In addition, it created a belief that is rare to have in a team. The belief that, no matter the score or what happens, that you are never out of the game. Years I clearly remember me having that feeling- 2008, 2009, 2015. All those years had that same feeling. During those times, when we would go down a goal, you could sense the team never felt like they were heading towards a loss. Rather, they felt they simply had to keep to their game plan while executing better and the scoreline would fix itself. And it usually did. This game could be the match that changes us into that other gear. All teams say they believe they can still win, but rarely do they believe it deep down. Even more rare is when can you pick up on it from the stands or the TV screen. This could be one helluva season.
And something to help TFC fans upset with their team's 2018 season performance. This can't be happening Why is Bradley playing center back? Who can we dump Bradley on? Nobody wanted Bradley, we're stuck with him - mathematically eliminated We won 2017 MLS Cup, that's all that matters - we'll be butte; better next season
I figured Gggg was pacing some of the players 60’ vs 30’) since the 2nd stringers probably aren’t fully match fit.
That foul in the box. How lazy. Zardes was turning away. God how lazy, Bradley. He did not even argue against it. It was clear as day (even though it was at night). The ref was going to call that one after he had called the one on Crew during the first half. Last night, that second half felt magical. I cannot speak for others that were in attendance, but after Hype Train’s goal, you could just feel the belief. I know I sound crazy (and I probably am), but that feeling took me back to a pretty special season. Boy was I weepy at times last night, and I blame this part of the post on that.
Well, I said this in the national team thread too, but Bradley is playing center back at the moment. Not his best position. He's way, way out of his comfort level, so it's not surprising that he's struggling. Doesn't mean we can't enjoy it.
This was certainly a confidence builder but it goes in sequence after we got road shutouts down a man vs Seattle and SKC.
I have no idea how to post tweets (nor do I care to learn), but there is a tweet about Bradley by someone named Nate Beckman that is absolutely perfect in light of what Bradley once said about the Crew moving. If someone on here can find it and post it, that should happen.
You are not alone. I felt it, too. Man we were flying around. Winning duels. Intervepting passes. Pipa was doing all sorts of Pipa things. Creating all sorts of chances. Even after Afful hit the bar, we kept it up. The subs were all fantastic, as was 3G's tactical shift. The team just believes in the setup. There is no doubt. This fist pump from Gregg at the end with the trophy. I got misty.
SOSA!!!!!!! What a player this guy is. I can't wait to see more from him. I don't think he made the stat sheet but make no mistake, he was instrumental in the turnaround. I'm pleased we turned it around for sure, but what in the hell were they doing for the first 60 minutes? One mistake after another from nearly every one out there. I bet they got ripped at halftime and that still didn't fix things. Good on Berhalter for making 3 subs at once. According to @MattBernhardt on Twitter that was the first time in club history that has been done. Bradley sucks, so happy for him. A performance he can look back on and say, "I did that."
We had fun. Some halftime begging for candy, but overall they did well. Going again Wednesday and the wife is joining us too.
My kids get whatever at games. Just ask @Draghignazzo. They are good at sharing though! I figure they deal well with a two-hour drive each way that I can indulge their little wants. Thankfully grandpa picks up some of the tab. Our boycott is on the merchandise. Food is a goddamn free-for-all. Though we start our eating at one of the food trucks. We try. Also - enjoy the Open Cup game. I have a time conflict preventing me from making it to the game. My dad and Garyn are going to bring Markus so his door of Crew season/games continues right on track.
Found an article with the Bradley statements. https://www.wakingthered.com/2017/1...rew-michael-bradley-toronto-fc-relocation-mls **** you, Michael Bradley. Add: At least Jonathan Osorio has some class.
