Yeah, he got Cristiano on that @benni . Who else can say they made Messi and then some on their resume? :p Messi needs Alves to play at a Balon d'OR level. Alves doesn't need Messi to do so. :D

This is probably his best UCL campaign ever, even better than some of the ones he had in Barca. His Serie A hasn't been as good and he's had plenty of better seasons in La Liga than his current Serie A season. But this UCL has to be up there, if not the best. Makes what he did for the Selecao between 10-14 really scratch your head....

Alves on fire. I can only hope he maintains this form for the World Cup now because he is by far our best RB.

I think the 3 at the back system suits Alves well. I think Marcelo would excel in it as well.

CR7 and Real clearly want no part of Alves after he booked his ticket to the final with this performance....

I'm not liking what I have seen from Casemiro lately. Very Fernandinho-ish.

I can't see Tite going to a back 3 just benefit the fullbacks.

Well hopefully we don't have a 6-1 in La Paz to convince him otherwise!!:x3:

With a 3 CB system, wouldn't it be difficult to link attack and defense? You have to drop a MF (or a forward). Tite introduced 3 holding MFs, one pure DM and the other two box to box. That system is working fine as the DM and at least one of the box-to-box guys drop back when the full backs venture up. Both box-to-box guys don't go up together and neither do both full backs. In a 3 CB system, this flexibility is unlikely. Also, you ideally need a CB to be a sweeper. Can David Luiz be that guy?

Today, Neymar scored 3 goals, Coutinho 2, and Lucas Moura 2. Moura has been scoring at PSG of late.

Wonder why? He's a pretty good player. But he has a lot of competition...Willian, D Costa, Luan possibly. But he has the talent to make it. If he switches to the PL (as rumored), he will become more visible.

Well at least we have 2 mouthwatering European Cup Finals, with the Europa Cup Final between Man U vs Ajax next Wednesday and the Champions League Final between Juventus vs Real Madrid on June 3rd!!

I got Ajax beating Man U 3-1 and Juventus whooping the shit out of Real Madrid 3-0!!
