It's the same on every other board of every other sports website (and politics website, and music, and . . .)
Starts vs Cork in preseason game, my guess is he will be a fixture on the back line this year. Also Fulham picked up Sone Aluko this year. I thought he was great with the Rangers a few years back.
He was the 3rd back listed and to me that is either LCB in a 4 man line, or LB in a 3. I don't know what formation they used but Stearman was on the bench which leads me to believe he was at CB in this game. In summary: not sure to be honest.
Fulham has brought in Czech international CB Tomas Kalas on loan from Chelsea, signed Austrian international CB Michael Madl to a permanent deal after having him on loan last season, and brought back Bulgarian international CB Nikolay Bodurov from loan to a Danish Superliga club. Fulham's two starting CB are still, I believe, Fernando Amorebieta and Richard Stearman, though Kalas might knock off one. All of this presumably increases the likelihood of Ream remaining at LB, as opposed to flipping between LB/CB.
Kalas played a lot of right back for Middlesbrough so he could see as a fullback for Fulham, but as a Czech, I think he is better used at center back.
Fulham v Newcastle to open up the new season of the championship. Ream is on the bench. Kalas starts at center back.
yeah, fulham won 1-0 over Newcastle Utd .... Fulham vs Newcastle Utd [1-0 All Goals & Highlights Championship 08/05/2016]
Lineups aren't up yet but I'm sure Fulham sticks with same lineups that have won their first 2 League matches. I expect Timmy to be on the bench though.
Went 120 in tonight's EFL Cup win. I listened to second half and most of extra time. Sounds like Boro outplayed Fulham in first half, but Gentleman Jim was a fan of Fulham's work in the second half. He seemed to like what Ream was doing playing in the center next to Stearman who picked up a yellow at one point. Also Malone had a great night so that might have helped things.
Report: US defender Tim Ream could return to MLS "sooner rather than later" September 4, 2016 http://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2016/...referral&utm_content=News&utm_campaign=Unpaid
He's third or fourth choice CB and likely won't get as many, if any, minutes at LB or DM due to improved depth. Fulham had more roster turnover than all or all but one other team in the championship. They have good depth for this level for the first time since they were relegated. Actually, they have good depth for any level since I've been following them for the last decade and a half. They loaned out another CB in Richard Stearman who was well liked by the club and fans, even if he underperformed a little last year. The fact that Ream is still around shows how much the club likes him. He'll get plenty of minutes at CB this year if the usual injuries, suspensions and fatigue happen.
Not really center back. Collen and Zubar have been pretty good. LB and RB have been EZ Pass lanes recently for attackers.
