    Welcome to the club James Rodríguez

    The presentation will start at 20:00 CET

    The rise of James Rodríguez
    2008:     Left Colombian club Envigado FC for CA Banfield in Argentina.
    2009: Made his Banfield debut in February aged 17 and became a title winner in the Apertura championship.
    2010: Scored five Copa Libertadores goals before moving to Porto.
    2011: Part of the Porto team that won the treble, including the UEFA Europa League.
    2012: Once again won the Portuguese Liga with Porto.
    2013: Left Porto after a third league title, joining Monaco along with team-mate João Moutinho for a combined fee reported at €70m.
    2014: Helped Monaco to finish second in Ligue 1 before starring for Colombia at the World Cup.

    Despite me being initially against the transfer (because of the fee and his position) I can't but feel general excitement for the boy. He displayed the talent he has, now there's a much tougher job ahead of him and that's becoming one of the leading players on this team. I have no doubt he has the potential to succeed and have a wonderful career here.

    If Illaramendi is Petey, can he be Jimmy?

    Still love you Alma, although you have had much better ones...I guess even Cristiano is permitted to miss the odd penalty :p

    That said,

    WELCOME JAMES! No idea where he'll play, but man the guy is a special talent. One of the few players that can get people off their seats just by being on the ball.

    I haven't seen James play much for Monaco, saw him a lot for Porto. Talent is there, not sure how he fits but I trust Carlo and co. to figure it all out. Can't hate on signing a 22 year old with the world at his feet. Guy seems ecstatic to be here, not Pepe ecstatic mind you, but happy enough to give me a warm fuzzy inside. Welcome.
