Totally, plus trying new formation we will never use again with these players. Nevertheless, Mexico managed to show some good formation work. I liked how Mexico was able to put pressing, and avoid being pressed themselves. It was quite a solid performance by Mexico.

Obviously, both teams can do much, much better, this whole game was just a sparing.

Don’t they have one of the best strikers in the world?

IMO I think Layun would benefit by moving to a Midfield position. I can see him having a Guardado esque' career turnaround.

That’s why I said they’re missing several players. Brmw seemed to have a hissy fit when I mentioned it.

Although Mexico was missing several players as well

    Poland was without:

Lewandowski, Piszczek, Milik, Glik, Grosicki, Pazdan, Krychowiak. Blaszczykowski came for last 15 minutes. We played 3-2-2-2-1 instead of 4-4-2, or 4-5-1... Sort of like a "C" team with "D" formation.

Obviously, Mexico wasn't at their best too...

govea really impressed. His off the ball movement was so good. Seems he could have shined if they were more confident in their passing abilities.

One thing I did not like about these games was the schedule. I understand that day and time slots are limited but at least the second game could have been Saturday or Sunday. I had to hide in one of the conference rooms at work and watch pirate feed on my phone. :-/

Seems to me like Jiménez or Oribe should be starting over Chicharito.

Jiménez maybe, I'm not sure if Oribe has the speed and stamina to face a top defense at this stage of his career.

Chicharo was dangerous before he was subbed off (injury). Ya'll are crazy. Defenses are crazy scared/tense when they face him.

Very meh game overall. Glad Jimenez scored, but didn't do much after that. Govea showed some promise, I can't believe the bastards on ESPN Deportes spread their bullshit. Anyway, nobody really had a bad game really, there just weren't any standouts.
