From my point of view i was actually glad to see us play Argentina in Argentina...........its just to damn bad we could'nt really compete so to speak. But i rather it be like that, then win against Guatemala twenty times in the U.S. and think that were somehow a powerhouse team like most of us fans think we are................and you know who you are. With that said, i was not to fond of the lineups and we need to get in the new generation, a new damn coach while were at it, and get to business already because there is no time to joke around with this. With that said, we have a long way to go, but once again im going to say it.........................as long as we have the same idiots at the FMF, nothing will change, and mediocrity is what were best at, unfortunately. We have, and have always had the talent to get better, but when there is money to be made we are not going nowhere............and its been like that since as far as i could remember, sorry folks, that is just how our football is.
Chaka has been SOOO bad, calling him up has to be some sort of trolling by Tuca. And WTF happened to Diego Reyes. Dude has been rough too. For years now.
People appear to copy and paste their thoughts and feelings cuz it seems like I read the same thing after every friendly.
Puff yo creo que muchos ya estamos cansados de ver a la selección, ahora en el buen fin hay camisetas de la selección por $200 pesos y ni de loco la compro.
Against Argentina in Argentina with knowing everyone has doubts about his play on the N.T.. I see it as a possibility, as I don't follow the whole "He's an Athlete.outside talk has no affect" BS.
Nestor Araujo is also leaving Mexico camp. Tests confirmed an injury to his left hamstring. He'll return for treatment at Celta Vigo. #eltrieng— Tom Marshall (@mexicoworldcup) November 17, 2018
I know I sound very pessimistic but this new crop of young players are nowhere near the level of our "golden" generation with Chich, Moreno, Vela, Gio, Jonathan, Ochoa, etc. and we know how how the golden generation panned out.. Even the kids that got 3rd place in the u-20 world cup and u-17 world cup in 2011 are nowhere now.. The stupid ass corrupt FMF took us out of the Libertadores which imo set us back lightyears.. The youth teams are now actually doing much worse than the previous 15years in yourth tournaments.. Like how can we expect to produce better players now
That golden generation almost didn’t qualify in 2013 Also, Jona had one outstanding performance and that was at Russia 2017
Our real golden generation are the dudes that won Toulon and Olympics. That 2005 U17 is only treated as a golden generation because it was the first time we won anything at the youth level. We've made several deep runs since then.
That team did a lot better than most U17 teams. We had like 5 players get into a World Cup or become semistars in Liga MX. Compare that to the 2011 team were we will be lucky if 1 players has a meaningful tournament with the senior team.
Not sure if real but it wouldn’t surprise me...the afa is much more corrupt than many other associations hence why they’re so poor y muertos de hambre.
Fair enough. Several 2011 players are playing in 1st division and even more 2013s are as well. 2007 is special because it gave us Gio, Vela, and Moreno, if you want to call them golden generation compared to other U17 teams that’s fine. But if there’s a defining generation for MX football it’s 2012 Toulon. And best of all, it gave us Hector Herrera who a year earlier was playing with Tampico Madero in the third tier, and even MX fans were going “who tf is this guy and why is he on the list”.
Sup everyone. I made a chat room on discord for anyone who wants to hang out as we’re watching this partido molero. Game kicks off at 16:00 https://discord.gg/q39rv7u
