Yes Indeed coach Precheur did not count on her and Lair gave her her chance while at Lyon.

it must be an unwritten rule but the French turn most their hotties into FB's. Their other starter, Saskia is cute too. Then there's old schoolers Franco & Boulleau, as well as my personal fav, Marion Torrent

I would like to thanks and salute those who help French female considerably grows in these last decade.
Three of France best players decided to retire after a very successful career, I had the pleasure to know two of them personally and they will be sorely on various football pitch all around the hexagon.
Sandrine "duss" Dusang, 33 years old, imho the best defender of her generation from what she showed at CNFE, Lyon and Juvisy. She didn't had the glory she deserved only due to a unfortunate series of injuries whcih considerably affected her career but still her CV speak for itself.
    Her palmares:
    - Six time D1F winner (all with OL)
    - Two times winner of Coupe de France. (all with OL)
    - Two times UEFA WCL winner. (OL)
    - UEFA U19 finalist in 2002.
    Individual:
    - Clubs: 205 games played for 26 goals.
    - France: 47 caps with 1 goal.

Sandrine "bretigoal" Bretigny, 33 years old, pure product of FC Lyon academy (before Aulas took over), Sandrine had 17 years long career in which she played for four clubs, Lyon FC then OL after, Frankfurt, Juvisy and O. Marseille.
The most lethal forward of her generation, a true fox in the box, she terrorize defense since her debut in 2000 and should have had a better international career but was victim of outrageous favouritism inside the NT. Still her career resume is :
    - Six times D1F winner.
    - Four times Coupe de France winner.
    - Two times UEFA WCL winner.
    Individual:
    - Club: 336 game played for 266 goals scored.
    - France: 22 caps for 9 goals.
    - Two times D1F best scorer.
    - Current record holder of the most goal scored in a single D1F season, 42 goals in 2006/07.

Sabrina Delannoy, 31 years old, the long serving PSG captian decided to stop her career after 14 years career but still working at the club. Sab spent two years at Clairefontaine before joining Paris in 2005 and not leaving them since.
    Her records:
    - Coupe de France winner in 2010 (PSG).
    - Finalist UEFA U19 in 2005.
    Individual:
    - Club 355 games played for 32 goals scored.
    - France 39 caps for 1 goal.

Last but not least one of the pionneer of the professionalisation of female footballer in France, Montpellier president Louis "loulou" Nicollin, left us. He was the first president of a male club to strongly believe in a female section for his club and always treated his players fairly with great respect. Thank you Loulou for everything you did .

Oh, I remember how close he used to be to the players, from the times when Rumi Utsugi was playing in Montpellier. I remember very well about him and his good old face, I am sorry. :(

Paris SG official announced the signing of France international Kadidiatou Diani for Pars FC (ex-Juvisy) on a three years contract.
Kadi had one year left on her precedent contract wwhich means PSG bought her contract to her former club...I wonder how much it costed?.....Anyway, great move for her as frankly she wasn't progressing anymore (imho) she definitely needed a new challenge at 22 years odl the time is right, with Lair she could fulllfil her massive potentia and it also looks like Brazilian Erika is back at the clubl. However, young CB Hawa Cissoko left the club to join Olympique Marseille.

    So it's official, now?

(By the way: this would make even more unforgivable that Echouafni subbed her out in the last 10 minutes).

Her legs were gone and against a defensive team, we needed more energy.
    Great player and amazing career...

Yep it's official the greatest French player of this last decade decided to terminate her amazing adventure with the NT, and probably the upcoming season is her last at professional level...
As I said is a big frustration that someone so talented never won something with les Bleues.
When I saw Echouafni subbed her out I knew it was over....let say it frankly France reached the 1/4 finals ONLY thanks to Camille Abily...first that great long pass to Henry who provoked the penalty in the first match then the free-kick against Switzerland which qualified us for the next round.
Abily was the only one of the twenty-three able to change a game in an instant of pure inspiration....once Echouafni took her out it was clearly game over for us.
Talking about the coach, the federation publicly renew their trust on him, his contract ends in june 2018 so I think they'll give him one more year till the World cup which will be a total disaster on home soil.. ..France is going straight against a wall and nothing we could do about it...the sad truth.

Well, last year Nécib, now Abily... The generation who put France on women's soccer's maps is retiring, with no win whatsoever at National Team level, despite the class they're shown in the last decade. Very sad. I would have liked very much if USA or Germany had dropped some titles and France had won at least 1 or 2.

Unfortunately in their best years...2011/2015....that generation was coached by someone who was deeply against them and what they represented....professionalsim, popularity, stardom, money etc...it could only end up in a tragedy.

France have so much talent tho, but they certainly lost some golden opportunities with Necib and Abily on the team...

this threat's been dead for a while, but here might big news; don't think it's official but Lucy Bronze is moving to Lyon in some kinda American style trade with Pauline Bremer, who would be than transferring to Man City. Lyon is also getting rid of Josie Henning, not sure what unfortunate club will get her(lol, Thomsen@). Jessica Houra also wants to move(considering the playing time loss once Bronze joins) but Lyon is refusing to let her go.

up for discussion; why do you think the Lyon players severely under performed at the Euros? Not just the French NT ones, but Maro, Hegerberg & Seger as well

If Bronze going to Lyon they are gonna be OP... who the ******** is gonna beat them? Not surprised they're getting rid of Henning, hopefully Jones as well. I might have asked this before but how did Henning even get signed up for Lyon?

for me a combination of not being in their best shape + the weak French league. Hegerberg didn't necessarily underperform in the Euros, she's just not that good as everyone in Norwegian media want her to be

Technically OL didn't get rid of Henning as her contract was just for six months...They just didn't renew it, Seger leaving however could be considered as getting rid of her as she had one year left on her contract.
Anyway, Lyon signing Henning was very weird since the beginning because they already had Mbock, Buchanan and Renard as CB plus Kumagai even Peit could play there so Josephine wasn't needed at all....we all know it was more a behind the scene "favour" to her agent who facilitated the coming of other players at OL.
As for D1F being "weak"..I think you mean unbalanced....yes OL players under achieved, well Abily brought France to the 1/4 finals basically alone which can't really be considered a bad performance.....and young CM Geyoro showed she's one the world top prospect.
But as usual with Germans you forgot to mention that French club called Wolfsburg which also had all its players underperforming , Harder aside, just like that Irish club called Montpellier where impressive Dutch Euro champion Anouk Dekker plays...;).

My advice is don't judge players based only on one tournament, Hegerberg had a terrific world cup and already reached the final of an Euro at only 22 years old the best is clearly yet to come from her .

but the fact is that nevertheless, WOB Pernile Harder performed phenomenally well, taking her somewhat under manned Denmark all the way to the finals.

then add current or former Bundesliga players Groenen, Miedema, Martens & Wulleart(another WOB)

plus the entire stating lineup of semi finalist Austria play in the Bund, as well all of the Swiss squad, goes to show that the international players of that league performed admirably

and the thing is that the CL final proved to be a very dull game cause PSG parked the bus for a whole 120 min. & Lyon was more than happy to oblige since they had some of the world's best pk takers.

At least in bro so, stacked teams can go on tours & sell out stadiums all over the world, plusmake a fortune in merchandise. No such thing for woso pro clubs; the Arsenal ladies played last summer in Seattle but didn't put in a dent on the attendance average(which is around 4K)

i know Ada has a lot in store for us to come, but there's no secret that she depends on the players around her to be Ada at the best. Hopefully the whole norwegian NT improves to the tournament... Sjögren shouldn't complain about to little time with the new system then...

i don't think Wolfsburg underperformed, I think Harder and Wullert did great for Denmark and Belgium. Fischer/Peter/Blässe/Kerschowski got exposed lol, exciting to see them in CL this year.

Which is normal as she is a finisher...just like Miedema goals depended on Van den Sanden, Martens, Groenen and Van de Donk assists....same with Jodie Taylor.
For Wolfsburg is your point of view, as I said for me Abily did very well in this Euro bringing France basically alone to the 1/4 finals so we can't really say all OL players failed..

Anyway is now official, but not officialised by the club yet, England international defender...and imho the greatest fullback ever...Lucy Bronze, 26 years old, has joined the biggest club in the world Olympique Lyonnais:inlove::inlove::thumbsup::thumbsup:....while Pauline Bremer moved to the opposite direction at Manchester City. It's hard to loose Pauline has not only she's a tremendous young player incredibly underrated by Steffi Jones:confused:...but also she loved her time here and learnt French very quickly. Good luck to her.
But! With Bronze I think the game is over, this is too much, Lyon is just incredible like their new coach Reynald Pedros says...OL is the female Real Madrid...I say more, the best female football club ever. As simple as that.
However, for non OL fans today could mean something even bigger.....
Nimes Olympique, a French male club just presented his new signing a CB Algeria international....duirng his press conference their new signing said "...If my wife wants to restart playing one day I'll be his first supporter...."....sorry I forgot to tell you, the CB name is Liassine Cadamuro and his wife is Louisa Necib-Cadamuro...:thumbsup::thumbsup:
