Two months later Asseyi has finally signed up for Marseille, that was not quick at all.

So tomorrow there will be the female version of what in France we call the "classico" for the first time in history,
Paris SG will face Ol. Marseille at the Camp des Loges but not on TV will show that:(:mad:.
First of all I was completely against the choice of PSG (actually it was Lair's idea) to play such an important game in male's team training centre because according to him Charlety, the stadium where the female used to play, is not made for football because of the athletic track ....Anyway, Eurosport would had probably broadcasted the match if it was at Charlety but won't do it at Camps des Loges even though they did it for PSG youth team the other day playing there for UEFA youth league.....:whistling:..priority.
Staying at Paris, they officialised the recruitment of 30 years old Dutch international keeper Loes Geurts who signed for two seasons.

Unfortunately I have to comunicate you two very sad news, first Soyaux very talented goalie Amandine Guerin had to stop her career due to heart condition, "Didine" has been out for quite a long time because she was waiting for the result of the test she passed in hospital. Unfortunately the result came out and is not happy news for her, her family and friends, Soyaux and all D1F fans.....After a consultation with her family she communicated through her official social media page that she decided to retire at 23 years old.
Amandine came through OL youth system but she was never able to make it till the first team and decided to join Soyaux four years ago, after some impressive performances she was able to integrate first France B team than even get call up by Bergeroo with les Bleues (without making her debut however) so sad to see her force to stop her promising career now, she'll be missed.
Another very sad news for D1F afecionados, probably me among the first,:cry:....only thinking about it makes me wanna cry, really.....the future LEGEND Camille Abily has announced that she's seriousy thinking about retiring at the end of the season:cry::(....she still hasn't decide yet but is a thought who is in her mind.....
Me personally I always said I started following female football very closely because of her so when the reason behind my love for the movement will be gone what I'm gonna do ??....seriously thinking abou it...

Division 1 feminine matchday 2 results:
    Juvisy - Metz: 6-0 ; Diani, Thiney 2x, Butel, Coleman 2x
    Montpellier - Guingamp: 3-0 ; Jakobsson 2x, Le Bihan
    Rodez - Soyaux: 1-1 ; Cance / Clerac
    Bordeaux- Saint-Etienne: 0-7 ; Peruzzetto 2x, Lavaud, Chaumette 3x, Garbino
    Paris SG - O.Marseille: 1-0 ; Delie
    O.Lyon - Albi: 6-0 ; Majri, Marozsan 2x, Lavogez, Hegerberg 2x

    Goalscorers:
    1) Le Sommer (ol) 5 goals
    2) Hegerberg (ol) 4 goals
    3) Chaumette (asse), Jakobsson (mhsc) 3 goals

The match of the day was with any doubt the first French "classico" in D1F , PSG vs OM, there was plenty of expectation specially in terms of intentisty which hasn't been fullfiled unfortunately as the game was ok but certainly nothing to be remembered.
Since the beginning OM kept a very close team, not letting space between the line staying focus defensively and trying some counter-attack occasionally, Marseile came for not conceiding too many goals and eventually draw, they almost did it .
On the other side Paris was very predictable, Cruz aside, all its offensive sector had a bad game, very anonymous game from Boquete PSG has no change of rythmn, no creativity, no fluidity, poor movement off the ball, zero combination, Patrice Lair still has a lot of work to do....Their main problem is the lack of winger, they don't tend to use the wings at all concentrating their offense centrally, they really need to find a solution for that big games with stronger opponents will come soon.
I'm not surprised by Audrey Chaumette hattrick, that young girl got talent, if she finds consistency sky could be her limit.

May be Ada had a little problem like many of her teammates who cameback injured from the international break which led Precheur to protest the number of matches played by his players....why OL recruited all these NT members then?...

Debzy, I noticed that this season the Division 2 has been reduced from 3 to only 2 groups: how that will affect the promotion/relegation process ?

Only 2 teams will be relegated now from D1 and the two winners of the D2 groups will get promoted, but let's say it how it's really is....what the FFF wants is to protect those teams which are related to male pro clubs.
Is not a coincidence if the regulation changed the season where OM, Bordeaux and Metz, female section of professional clubs get promoted in D1, indeed insisting rumors are saying soon D1F will be expanded to fourteen teams.

Division 1 feminine matchday 3 results:
    Saint-Etienne - O. Lyon: 0-4 ; Abily, Hegerberg, Majri, Kumagai
Metz - Rodez: 0-4 ; Cance, Barbance, De Sousa, Bornes
Guingamp - Paris SG: 0-4 ; Erika, Delie 2x, Cristiane
    O. Marseille - Montpellier: 0-5 ; Leger, Agard, Thomas, Jakobsson, Gauvin
    Juvisy - Soyaux: 2-1 ; Catala, Thiney / Bourgouin
    Albi - Bordeaux: 0-1 ; Cambot

    League Table:

    Goalscorer:
    1) Hegerberg (ol), Le Sommer (ol) 5 goals
    3) Delie (psg), Jakobsson (mhsc) 4 goals
    5) Chaumette (asse), Thiney (juv), Thomas (mhsc) 3 goals.

    My recap:
Bordeaux is the club of the match day for sure as they registered their FIRST ever victory in D1:thumbsup: but also the first expulsion fo the season, Andrea Lardez, . Very harsh defeat for OM at home, even though Montpellier was the clear favorite I certainly didn't expected Marseille to take five goals after doing very well defensively against PSG last week....coach Parra really needs to wake up his players fast.
OL won by four but according to people who were at the stadium the game was closer than the result tells, and there is also a controversy as one goal not given to ASSE which should have been given .

Just a short question, Debzy; probably is something you already talked about in some other post, but I can't always be up-to-date with everything that's posted on this thread...

Some time ago, French Women League had a point-system quite different from other leagues in the world, that gave 1 additional point to a team just for "showing up" to the game: so, the win got you 4 points, the draw 2 points and the loss 1 point; you had 0 points only if you didn't show up to the game at all.
Now, I see from this season's rankings that obviously this system is not up anymore. When did this change? It was last season (and I was totally unaware of that; or better: since the rankings looked "normal", as in any other league, I never actually noticed the change) or did it change in this season?

Edit: also, additional question: was Kumagai's goal a PK, as usual, or did it come from open play? :p

The point system changed from this season only, the problem is D1F is officially an amateur league consequently under France amateur law the 4-2-1 points system was the right one, but it changed for al amateur leagues (female and male) only from this season.
Many people ignore it but actually D1F male counterpart in terms of regulation is CFA (championnats de France amateur...men's D4) not Ligue 1.

Yes Kumagai scored by PK (3:38), I think she's now OL first PK's taker:thumbsup: .
Best goal of the matchday is Sarah Cambot lovely lob outside of the penalty box, first intention with her non dominant foot:eek:...at 7:45. I talked to you about Sarah when I did my presentation of the various teams, she's a very interesting player, it's really strange that she never has been called by any France NT.
Special mention to Camille Catala's backheel at 9:20 after an excellent work from Kadi Diani.

    Paris SG - Metz: 3-0 ; Boquete, Katoto 2x
    Soyaux - O. Marseille: 2-1 ; Bourgoin, Babinga / Asseyi
    Montpellier - Saint-Etienne: 3-0 ; Haupais, Dekker, Jakobsson

    2) Catala (juv), Jakobsson (mhsc), Le Sommer (ol) 5 goals
    5) Delie (psg), Diani (juv), Lavogez (ol), Thiney (juv) 4 goals

    My recap:
Marseille still struggling to find their way in D1F, nothing alarming for the moment but still one point after four matches and the next one is at home against OL.....Quite shocked by Rodez conceding ten goals at home against Juvisy, yes the Essonne's club is stronger and was clearly the favorite but still Rodez is a good team with some very interesting players...even though some key ones departed...so losing 0-10:speechless:...let me speechless even though I'm sure is only an one-off.
Next matchday, Albi will face Metz with the two teams at least hoping to score their first goal of the season.....and first big match in D1, Juvisy vs Montpellier:thumbsup:.

ps: By the way what happened to @guignol ?

Best goal of the matchday is Vero Boquete's one at 0:22, she scored what I call a GREAT player's goal...because everything she did from when she received the ball to where she shoot was perfect, to teach to young players.
Honorabl mention to Kadi Diani's goal at 8:33 but I think she didn't do it on purpose
I love Saez's passion for his team....lol..you can see him from 5:10 , is the shooting and gesticulating guy with a grey shirt.
From you can see everything you need to know about bad defending....smh...Rodez's two cb were just horrible, why average French defenders don't seems to understand that in a minority situation they must CUT OFF the angle positionning themselves in these corridors !!...SMH
Anyway, great to see the smile back on Lea Declercq face, that girl went through so much in these last years at Paris...she's still a good players and at only 21 years old has time on her side to re-build a positive image.

... ps: By the way what happened to @guignol ?[/QUOTE]i don't come around much now... i only happened by to send a message to look at the books thread.

i stopped posting after les bleues bowed out in rio, as usual it takes me a day or two to get over any disappointment, but that time no more than usual.

what actually made me lose interest in posting here was a positive thing : a friendly against GF38 (ex Claix) on a day when most of OL was still in Brazil and that was one of those moments when a great truth strikes home in full force: ohne Fußball wäre das Leben ein irrtum.

but not modern football. not any WC or champions' league of either gender. just simple football like i watched that day. sure there were some great players on the field, but that only underscored the magic of seeing them in such mixed company, ludere causa ludendum.

Corine Petit with the armband exemplified everything: to think of all the great and not so great moments this lady has lived on the biggest stage and watch her play so seriously, with such motivation, in a match like this... impossible to exaggerate the respect due. and her partner in central defense? Delphine Blanc! Saki running the midfield with Julies Marichaud, Delphine Cascarino, Mylaine Tarrieu and Sanaa Titraoui starting on attack with Ada Hegerberg on the bench, that new Norwegian girl a handful of players i never saw before...

i was behind the Grenoble bench and their coach seemed like a great guy who brings a lot of love to the game. and it helped that the weather was gorgeous. and it was the very last game of any kind at Gerland... in fact it was at Tola Vologe since OL had relinquished their claim on the Plaine des Jeux. and word is out today that now OL is going to sell Tola. the fifth or sixth, but now the definitive and final end of an era.

a few pictures speak louder than thousands and thousands of words, but being there was better. and enough to make me realize i've already spoken too much about football in my life. i think i'll just let go and enjoy now.

I can understand your point of view, Guignol. And maybe a similar day will come for everyone posting her on this forum, sooner or later. But a lot of people here are going to miss you. :( Me included.

And, in general, when one of the "big names" of these threads stops posting, all of our world becomes a little tighter, and it's another step against that special kind of communication we have here (that's going to slowly come to an end) and towards the new kinds of annoying scroll-down & social-oriented media.

It was anyway a pleasure to read you, and it was very kind from your part to write this final post and not to just disappear into thin air without a word... :notworthy:

This is arguably the saddest message you ever posted here but I was expecting it......I see what you mean and perfectly understand you, I highlighted your sentence because it how I'm increasingly starting to feel too, I will post in this forum until the end of Euro then don't know....it will all depend on how I feel once (and if) Camille retires.

Thanks to have moderate this forum with calm, lucidity and wisdom, thanks for giving me advices on how to deal with some particular ex-members and situations here .
I don't know if we ever going to meet one day but it was great to share my passion with you @guignol
You are a true gentleman, something who unfortunately is increasingly missing not only in France....
    We're gonna miss you!

    My recap:
Finally! At the fifth match Albi scored one goal....yeaaah!...and they did it with style too as Tatiana Solanet gave the victory to her team by scoring at the 90 minutes leaving Marseille in the relegation zone but OM doesn't really have to worry because they played OL, MHSC and PSG in their first five games so now everything should be much easier....
In the first big match of the season Montpellier defeated Juvisy away, it wasn't a pretty game with both teams poor at building gameplays but the tension was very high, MHSC deservedly won thanks to a better management of different situations while Juvisy was quite confused at times.
Next matchday in two weeks with another big game this time is Paris SG vs Montpellier.

Le Sommer keeping up with Hegerberg, what are you doing, Ada? I did like how they scored almost identical goals against Marseille, though!

    Highlights:

Is this Marseille's first keeper? She seems a bit small for a keeper, if she'd been a bit taller she might have caught both Ada and Eugenie's goals.

Best goal is Albi's Tatiana Solanet, super counter-attack directly from a corner kick starting at 12:58

@AndyHE Her name is Anais Hatchi she's not the starting goalie, is Pauline Peyraud-Magnin injured at the moment, so Anais had to play the last two games. Yes she is very small, 161 cm official height, but she's got tremendous courage and cat-like reflex, this is her very first season at the highest level so she's still learning how to deal with her short height in some situations.

Marie-Antoinette Katoto and Eurosport are the protagonist of the day. The 17 years old (18 on Tuesday) forward proves once again that she is the main reason why France could be confident on the future of our NT, those who were at the stadium say she scored a sensational goal but "thanks" to Eurosport absurd PSG treatment we couldn't watch it live.....Indeed the powerful sport channel officialy decided to not broadcast any Paris's game at home because according to them the stadium is not conform to television football braodcasting.....while PSG men's academy teams who also play there regularly pass on tele.........Anyway, usual business for OL but (need to be confirmed) Jess Houara broke her nose, while Marseille had a crazy game losing 2-0 at 15 minutes to the end and equalizing at the 93' thanks to two penalties...

Thanks for the info but the Army involvement only means that the situation is worse. than I thought :(:(.... And the bad news for PSG doesn't end there as Marie-Antoinette Katoto went out injured yesterday (muscle) and will need at least six weeks to recover, she has been replaced by Montpellier's forward Valerie Gauvin for the upcoming U20 world cup.

The funniest thing about Gauvin is she has not been on the list for a long time, Eyquem was not calling her at all. She was getting calls for the B team instead and even once for the A team.
Gauvin has 5 U16 caps, 9 U17 caps, 1 B cap and 1 A cap. She has never played a game for the U19/U20 team.

Lol typical Eyquem......and I wonder what Valerie did wrong to get completely ignored.... I don't know her that well but she doesn't seems to be a troublemaker. Anyway, the "major"scandal is to leave out Audrey Chaumette who is currentLy the best scorer in D1F of this generation :eek:......no comment.....but as I said, I expect us to reach quarter or semi-final nothing more with that coach.
