Always tough to play against a team that has already started their competitive season, should be a real test for Lille.

I know Porto has a great record in Europe but I feel real good about Lille's chances.

I feel (hope) that Lindsay Rose will be a key pickup for OL this season. Him and Umtiti looked like a good defensive pairing so far and just as importantly Kone will be moved to the bench where he belongs!

0-0 at half time for Lille's game against Porto

Porto has had way more possession, but neither side has been impressive. Lille had one big chance before half time and they've been defending well enough, so hopefully they can sneak a goal in in the second half.

Did you watch the game? I fell asleep during the beginning of the second half (because I barely slept last night, not because I was bored!) Were there any chances for Lille in the second half?

I saw some of it. I heard the announcers say Kalou did nothing and I did say in the past I dont like him as a centre forward.

Well based on this week's showing I think it's pretty clear it's a matter of when and not if that France will lose its 3rd champions league spot and can't say the league's quality justifies one anyway.

Well its almost over. I guess Kalou and Basa will be sold now. Seydoux is good at making sure his club doesn't go into big deficit but other than that he sucks.
Our league is so weak and I'm not sure I even care about Europe anymore.
