Galaxy wouldn't be a bad move actually. Problem is his fitness and salary requirements. Arena would be able to handle it, problem is does he want something like that? sidenote unrelated: LA wasted DP on Gonzalez, and Arriola is better than Zardes and Rogers.
LA Gals was one i brought up before, isnt Zardes going to be deployed as a forward anyway?? not same position. If Arena offered him a chance to get his career back on track for league minimum, he better take it. That goes for any MLS team really. someone who is a smarty pants about Liga Mex, what are some clubs that would work for him?
Because Zardes contributes to the team winning games, while Adu contributes to raising his coach's blood pressure?
Every once in a while I click on this thread to see if anything has happened. Nothing ever has, just a bunch of posts about nothing. So I thought I would add a post about nothing. Please get a job, Freddy.
LA is about the only team I can think of in MLS that it would work with. Between Arena, Keane and Donovan, if those three couldn't impart a sense of work ethic in Freddy its never going to happen.
I've been suggesting Adu come to LA for a while now. I really hope it happens. Being a galaxy fan, I think Adu would not only bring in more fans, but he'd also take some pressure off Keane and Donovan to create all the chances. Plus Adu is very versatile.
Hmm. Bruceface is many things, but I don't know that he values creative play from players he doesn't trust. I like the idea of Bruce mentoring Adu, with Keane and Donovan as role models. If he were to play in LA and fail, I would have to seriously consider him a wonder kid who never could make the jump to being a professional footballer.
Yeah, he'd definitely have to earn it with that coach and roster. It would be the best possible landing place.............therefore it will never happen.
I'm sorry................but at this point Adu isn't going to "bring in more fans." His "Q rating" is essentially zero. Nobody cares. For the right salary, though, I think a team like the Galaxy would roll the dice on Freddy. They don't care about Q rating, they care about whether he can help them win games. And in MLS, I think he can do that.
So is Freddy officially a free agent now? Or is he still technically under contract to the Union? Was that contract ever terminated?
This is getting ridiculous. When was the last piece of news on this thread? 5 pages ago? Can an Adu talk and speculation thread be created? Its getting very hard to follow this thread.
I could hardly fail to disagree with you less that people shouldn't be unwilling to acknowledge that Freddy is not completely devoid of quality.
