Of course but if he doesn't want to leave Rome, why not take a job and earn a paycheck by his his former club at the same time? Even if his job is to be a dressing room show piece a motivator , or whatever title you want to give him, I doubt he would leave money on the table and work for free.
Maybe he still wants to play? Maybe not with any type of respectable team that makes you question his legacy, but at least with a team so he can play. Either way I doubt he keeps playing though. He probably will accept the Roma role.
If he goes to Japan, I doubt he would take his family there. Ilary Blasi already stated she doesn't want to leave Rome.
Just saw Totti's final player rating against Genoa....He didn't do much in the game but it was a great tribute just the same! Le pagelle di Roma-Genoa 3-2: Totti 10,

http://www.calciomercatoh24.it/tifosi-della-roma-sotto-shock-pesante-attacco-a-francesco-totti/ I suppose this will never end.
I've been out of it all summer and haven't read much but does anyone know exactly what Totti's roles and duties will be in his new job? Or rather what he will be in charge of? Just curious.....
I know but doing what? Evaluating players or working with tactics and formations? Will he be like an MLS technical director (whatever that is) ?
Totti is going to start courses for his coaching badges later this month: http://www.football-italia.net/109524/ totti-start-coaching-course
Yes. I'm not sure but as a WC winner, I believe he already has been granted his UEFA or FIFA 'C' or 'B' license to coach.
Guess I was wrong. I heard on Rai yesterday that Totti is still trying to obtain his UEFA 'B' license to become a coach. It would be interesting if and when he gets his badges , where he will go? I can't imagine him coaching another team except Roma in the South or in the North. I doubt he will ever go to Lazio or Palermo.
I didn't write it , I posted it! You are right though, of course it will most likley never happen. Then again, if he doesn't want to leave Rome, he wouldn't be the first Roma-Lazio player or coach for that matter, to switch ides.... players who turned out for both Roma and Lazio - AS Roma
