    It's the perfect place for it! I would even say the only place.
    I already mentioned Karsdorp original place was in the midfield and he was chosen as the best youth player in there. Fred Rutten converted him into a defender, but his origin showed in the matches he played for Feyenoord.

    So the crucial match is coming nearer. How are the designated players to be doing in the kick off matches of the season?
    And how are our opponents players doing right now?

    It's better to follow the Dutch ladies team as they have a better chance of winning the WC than the men do at this stage.

    That's in 2 years time. The warm up to that can be the 2018 men's WC run.
    Still think Tricky Dicky gets us there:) He then can put up the finger to all in here that criticized him year after year for the Robben swap:p

    I really don't have high hopes concerning the game against France. Especially knowing there will be only few changes in the dutch line-up. Is Karsdorp still injured ? He hasn't played at all since he joined Roma. That means Tete should get the start.

    Midfield will probably be boring again with Strootman, Wijnaldum, Klaassen/Sneijder...I'd like to see Van de Beek, I think he is already ready and better than these players atm.

    Of course the only source of hope is Robben, who didn't play any of the three previous games against France.

    No, it's time to play Clasie. Either play him for 60 minutes from the start and then to defend the positive score, replace him with a defensive midfielder. Or let someone deplete the French midfield an throw in Clasie after the break to run over the fatigued opponent:)

    If you wanted to include a Feyenoord midfielder, then you should think about Vilhena.

    Its time to take the risk and give Nathan Ake a break. He has proven himself in one of the most toughest league and given his versatility why have him sit on the bench. At least he wont choke and will add muscle to that midfield releasing strootman up front as a runner where he is best at what does.

    Ahum, I was thinking of a complete Feyenoord midfield, but as El Karim isnot playing in Orange it should be Toornstra, Clasie and Vilhena:thumbsup:

    Locadia, Propper, Van Ginkel, Rekik (he was pretty bad at Marseille). It is not with these players that France will be beaten.
    Van de Beek is the only good news. He must play this game.

    Wow.. Babel. Never thought I'd hear his name again, let alone called up to the NT. And Van Persie, I thought he had retired from Oranje. It's a shame that Van Dijk didn't make it (probably due his transfer saga), he's arguably the best, if not one of the best, Dutch defender at the moment. Pray for miracle. A draw in France would be a massive result.

    I would have liked to see Kongolo in the slection as we really need his speed and his expandable legs. My choice would be a 5 man defense: Tete-de Vrij-Hoedt-Kongolo-Blind that are capable when in possesion to go in midfield mode.

    If Tete was a proper wing back I would say yes to that approach; unfortunately he is not.
