There are no ifs and buts, it's a fact. Being the hosts for a relatively populous nation is a massive advantage. And as has been the case in the past Australians aren't afraid to flood the stadiums and come in numbers to support their team. Doubt this tournament would be any different. Also, Australia was actually one of the better teams representing Asia at the WC. And the qualitative decline that you're assuming is exclusive to Australia is infact shared by the rest of the quartet. So chin up. And don't qq. Save those tears for the final! *evil laughs*
Friendly game between Iran and Sweden in Stockholm confirmed. Ibrahimovic vs. Gucci http://www.fotbollskanalen.se/sverige/sverige-moter-iran-medvetna-om-att-man-har-utmaningar/
beause I had to cut a lot of pages from another thread. If I didn't, we'd have these derails in every thread
I agree, also dislike his style, very anti-Iranian football. However I believe that results are what matter. The difference between us and Koreans is that we come up with the wins and they whine after the game about every nonsense they can think of. I believe we have Queiroz can bring us very far in the AC, I expect a SF appearance minimum from him. The good thing about CQ is that he's a winner, more than any coach in Asia. And he doesn't care the way he delivers it, only cares about the win. We almost upset WC finalists that needed a wonder goal at the 91st min from the best player on the planet and an uncalled penalty kick for us to beat us. That's what I like about him, but yeah you're right the defensive strategy is a frustration to watch
In high level sports unfortunately it's the results that counts. That's what separates the winners from the losers that want to be too cute.
To be honest that's unfortunately true... Did you watch Iran lately? They are really solid World Cup runner ups needed their magician Messi at the 91 minute to beat them We get battered by teams like Algeria and you guys can't beat Greece with 10 men....
