WOw Acuna makes everyone look like a fool on the wing. Great cross to Gelson who buries it We’ve taken the lead 1-2
Great ball from Acuna springs Bruno Fernandes who crosses it to the spot and Doumbia lifts it nicely over the keeper Flood gates open 1-3
Horrible header from Bryan Ruiz, should’ve been the 4th goal, completely unmarked and completely missed the net
Would be nice if we just thrash them with 20 mins left. Give us the opportunity to rest guys next week
Yes if that win in I don't think we could rest anyone in the 2nd leg.....With 3-1 going home I think anyone who isn't %100 can be rested.
Leaving this here for record. Just in case the Lampiao and Tripeiro garbage denies the lack of an even playing field. https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=2067399653532741
Great win. Couldn't watch the game but 3-1 away is always super positive. Hopefully squad rotation kicks in and we rest some players.
It was a great response in the second half. Took control of the game right out of the gate and started creating real opportunities. First half, even with the disallowed goal looked like it was gonna be another night of struggling to create anything if real threat. But credit to the team, in the second half they took care of business, and outside 2 or 3 chances for Astana they really controlled possession and the game once it was in hand.
Huge win and even bigger win for morale. JJ made the necessary changes after the team looked hopeless in the first half.
Big win. I thought it was an easy draw but after our recent struggles I had started to get a bit worried about the fixture
On a side note, Doumbia has scored 3 goals in the last 2 games...... except 2 of them were incorrectly called off. JJ said it well, Doumbia has to put 2 in the back of the net to get 1 goal..... Anyways with some actual playing time he's starting to come into his own and becoming a headache up front. Since I don't see JJ playing Double D up front - lets hope with Dost back we can still play Doumbia regularly.
Schedule is pretty heavy over the next few weeks. So even with Dost back I'm sure Doumbia will get some time
