Well if it is true, I'm cool with it, because anything is better than Cambios.

Wouldn’t be against it if that’s the case

The remaining months of the year after the WC the team will be pretty much on break until 2019. Get an interim coach for the time being and line up some moleros to try out young players

Then once the CWC ends, Matías can take over and start 2019 as NT coach

Who is handling the Olympic team this cycle anyway? Maybe let that person take over for the time being.

Almeyda is gone from Chivas, can FMF please hire him before the game vs Germany so we maybe have a chance?

Isn't Vergara one of the strongest voices among the owners? If that's the case, goodbye Almeyda.

Holy shit. That would be stupid.
We have no idea what precipitated this crisis at Chivas, to be fair. Vergara has been vocal before about Almeyda being a good candidate for Mexico.

    Not bad.

But in the event of JCO is fired, I hope Mexico does their due diligence and find an appropriate manager this time.

Villas Boas has spent his post Chelsea years wandering Russia and China. Not to mention the ruthlessness of the Mexican industry. He would be at best a risky gamble, at worst another Eriksson.

I would give another go at Bielsa tbh

He’s been chilling at home minding his own business for the past year. I bet he’s eager to manage post-WC where there will be open NT vacancies.

Bielsa would be awesome but the FMF wants a puppet

Loco would constantly clash with the owners, agents, and promoters

Bielsa would not take any shiit from the FMF.

He would demand full control of the NT during contract negotiations.

Would a bad showing at the WC (i.e not advancing past the group stages) be enough for the owners, agents and promoters to look at a proper manager and model like a Bielsa?

The reality is that the people at the top don’t really care ignore we get eliminated in the group stage or the fifth game. They make bank as long as we qualify because the sponsor contracts are based on whether we participate that summer, not how far we go through.
