For what it’s, I’d support a ham sandwich as coach in 2019. This was such an emotional roller coaster ride, I’m just happy to be able to support OUR team next year.

    YES!

Finally those years of rec coaching and tens of hours I put into Jr. Academy are paying off.

It's been a long, hard, road. Don't worry, I won't let this newfound success change me.

I've never rooted for the Galaxy this hard in my life.

Caleb, you totally want to be in LA. Look, Columbus is years away from competing with this roster. We are years away from having our own stadium. And can you imagine the pressure of following up current USMNT coach Gregg Berhalter!??!? He had a 38% win percentage!!! How can you match that.

LA is totally more your speed, Caleb. You get Zlatan, Ashley Cole, the bigger platform, likely more money.

Do it for the sake of your vanity. Do it......For Columbus.

That sort of small market thinking needs to stop now that we've got a big time owner.

Pat Murphy says that the FO wants "more pedigree" than Porter or Wolff.

Have there been any reports out of Atlanta about GBS? Supposedly Eales went to Argentina last week (before Boca went to Spain) to recruit him.

I haven't seen anything. The timing of all the trouble surrounding the Libertadores Final helps us a bit. It delayed the final, which gave us more time. It also has to make GBS more likely to leave the country for his next job as the craziness in Argentina is unlikely to subside any time soon. Street violence tends to rise along with declining economic situations.

    Let's hope....

GBS was reported to Atlanta a couple months back. Also said Tata was going to Mexico before the rumors of that really started. I think it still happens.

Am I that far off from reality? The socioeconomic situation in Argentina is tumultuous at the moment. Rising inflation and rising unemployment being 2 commonly referred to problems. Argentina has had very passionate and demonstrative football fans. Combine the 2 and the likelihood of the typical football "mob" turning into a violent one is increased. I don't know if the events that caused the final to be moved to Madrid would have happened if the preceding 2 or 3 years had been more prosperous for the country as a whole, obviously. But I do believe there is a correlation between the 2 things, making violence more likely when times are tough for varying reasons.

Huh. That was a long explanation to a question not asked.

I was alluding to our own likely situation pretty soon.

Wow, I missed that entirely. Whoops!

I took the "ahem" to mean you were gearing up to refute my claim but left it alone as to not go political but you had to say something because you're not one to leave something you find wrong unchallenged.

I was wracking my brain in how to reply, thinking about what I had said and if I had misspoken, typo-ed, overstated, etc. I didn't see anything, so I sort of just decided to double down on my claim.

Glad I wasn't too far afield.
