http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/real-salt-lake-hope-re-sign-findley-keep-gonzalez Kind of amazing, isn't it? If they want non-scoring forwards at the top level- hell we've got TONS of those in MLS
Re: Findley has offers Just because Findley isn't a World Cup-caliber forward doesn't mean that he wouldn't be useful to a large number of middle-class European clubs. From the article I really don't get the sense that RSL will sell, anyway.
Re: Findley has offers lol.... offers...? for what? does he play another sport perhaps? Euro basketball?
Re: Findley has offers good luck to him. he's in the same position Davies was in before he went overseas... excellent speed but no other tools, really. hopefully this goes through, it works out for him, and he improves in those areas.
Re: Findley has offers How many teams didn't/haven't gotten a goal from a forward in this World Cup? We're certainly not the only ones. I hope Findley gets some chance abroad; he needs a change of scenery. He's improved a lot in the last two years and it's not inconceivable that he'll keep it up.
Re: Findley has offers Anything with six digits has to be enough, methinks. This isn't a contract year for him (right?), so presumably its not a sell him now or get nothing for him when he leaves situation, but he's not exactly lighting up MLS.
Re: Findley has offers RSL should take the money and run. His value in MLS will never be higher than right now despite him not doing much in the WC. People around the world at least know his name and know he has speed. In 6 months he will have had an average season in MLS and be forgotten outside of the US.
Re: Findley has offers no he is in a contract year, and has previously said he will not resign with RSL this year. He wants to go to Europe.
Re: Findley has offers Wow didnt know that Findley touched so many posters in here when they were little.
Re: Findley has offers It'll take awhile to forget a striker blowing a 1v1 with the keeper in a game we lost in extra-time. I hope Findley makes the move. He's still quite young and it would be nice to see if someone overseas cares to take the time to coach him up a bit.
Re: Findley has offers Well Findley should take a move now and I hope its a team that will help raise his level of play. I think he is good but has been unable to finish his chances lately maybe lack of confidence.
Re: Findley has offers Wow there's a lot of hate in here for no apparent reason. There were other supposedly "world class" strikers in the world cup that did absolutely did nothing worthy whatsoever. Yes Findley isn't a finisher but he was on television in front of billions of eyes. No superclubs will want him but a GM from mid to lower level club in Europe might have the perfect roll and spot for him.
Re: Findley has offers That's why I (and others) have said that MLS should take the money NOW. Even if its just a few thousand dollars, he's worth more now to MLS than he will probably be for a while or ever. Also, getting him in a better situation could help him become what Bradley hoped he'd be in this Cup.
Re: Findley has offers So if I went into the Altidore thread would i see you and other usmnt fans shitting on Jozy for not scoring one goal this whole wc while he had plenty of chances?
Re: Findley has offers Goes to show just about any player that starts in the WC is going to get 'interest', if I were involved in a 2nd division team somewhere, it would be a coup to get a player who was a 'World Cup Starter'...oohs and aaahs
