There's a thread about this on Reddit with a bunch of English fans excusing the behavior for competitiveness. Someone posted a screenshot of all the English fans talking about how vile and abhorrent this is in the England vs. Panama gamethread classic
Pressure's all on France. They can't blow this WC as they did with the Euros. They're clearly the superior team with way more rest.
0 - France 🇫🇷 have never lost a game with N’Golo Kante & Paul Pogba both in the starting 11 (W14 D4). Complementary.#WorldCup pic.twitter.com/l4FOJWrHbv— OptaJean (@OptaJean) July 12, 2018
As far as I know, you can't kickoff until all players are back on their halves of the field (with the exception of the guy who's actually kicking off). Because, obviously. In any case, Lingard's pass back to Rashford meant he was offsides anyway. I do remember one case where a team did manage to pull this off, legally. Under bizarre circumstances - the keeper went up to take a penalty, scored, and was slow getting back to his net because he was busy celebrating. But the Leverkusen team had all returned to their half and Schalke was aware enough to quickly kick off and boot it from the half-way line for a score.
We need one of these Este video de Kanté me parece muy bueno para ver su colocación y como le ayuda a anticiparse y recuperar balones.https://t.co/mML42VDvuM— Futbol por las venas (@futbolxlasvenas) July 11, 2018
Nope. I do hope to be as fluent in Korean as that guy, one day. He gives me hope a Croat can learn Korean.
You guessed one finalist. The one I like being in the final. Now, hopefully that bolding on Croatia comes through...
the headline the best part : I'm really unclear how a professional commentating crew can't pronounce PL/CL stars.
in 2010 it was reported that bbc contacted korean embassy multiples times to make sure they had all the pronunciations prepared correctly. nowadays all you have to do is turn on google translate but apparently some cant even bother to do that
I’ve never been convinced by the argument that 3 at the back gets 2 forwards on the pitch & allows you to pass your way to goal. pic.twitter.com/cycrWwKvHy— Richard Keys (@richardajkeys) July 14, 2018
That is awesome of BBC and what professionalism is about., That Guardian article is very well written and so cutting in a very British sort of way:
KBS Sports apparently made a video about the Croatian NT, but the Youtube link doesn't work- it got taken down. Does anyone know if there is a Korean link I could watch it on?
Someone re-linked it. Quite nicely done from KBS. https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=841021929440538
