LOL. Is it hip to be anti-Portuguese these days? I think I've missed that meme. Frankly, other than Ronaldo's preening on the pitch (which if anything is more annoying with Real Madrid), what is there to dislike about Portugal?
Pepe, they aren't fun to watch, and they don't have anyone particularly likeable to balance out Ronaldo either.
Portugal is a typical Mediterranean team, subjected to the seasons of the moon and the caprice of the tides. And that even though they don't even touch the Mediterranean.
I'm not a big Pepe fan, but I respect him as a great defender. And I think they can be entertaining to watch, when Ronaldo isn't monopolizing the attack.
I dont think even defending the title would come close to the significance of the event from on this day 3 years ago. Som as for bragging rights it can only downhil anyways
Number two was what the Brazilians did on the field. I came out and saw David Luiz looking around like a disconsolate kid whose parents have abandoned in an airport. Poor guy, he was terrible that day, although on a re-watch, it was actually Marcelo who left the glaring hole through which the German goals 2-5 came.
