That image really does look like Switzerland is out for blood.
They are going to make the Netherlands earn it.
The Dutch better bring their "A-Game" or they are in trouble.

Panama is a JOKE for a 4th place CONCACAF team.
How the heck did Mexico lose to them?

Argentina reminds me of Spain from about 7-8 years ago.
If Spain can be this good in 2018 (Top 12 in the world), then Argentina can be there by the 2027 Women's World Cup.

CONMEBOL could use another Top 15 ranked team by then.

Well, Panama imploded and looked well out of their depth. I do hope Bailey gets a U.S. college scholarship or is signed by a European club. She is hugely talented and only started playing goalkeeper 1 year ago. Think of how high her ceiling is with more formal training.

Panama could be back, almost all their roster is under 25 years old with many teenagers. But they need to keep investing and get faster in their decision making.

seemed like both teams weren't conditioned properly. Both played rough, I mean, was it aim for the body, then for the ball? That last red carded Panamanian needs to banned for life!

Mexico lost because Mexico is not very good and is very poorly coached. Plus the Panamanian goal keeper was on fire and that raised the spirits of all the Panama players.

Also with all the doom and gloom about Panama was this not just the first leg of a home and home? I think there is at least another 90 minutes to play.

Of course a come back might be hard but playing at home for a CONCACAF team is usually a pretty big advantage.

I'd have to double-check, but I don't think there's ever been a home-and-home series (or equivalent) in WWCQ history where one team has scored 4+ goals and not won the series outright. WoSo just isn't mature and balanced enough - a blowout in one direction means that the winning team was just better and won't be overcome.

This couldn't be any further form the truth; win one weak exception in '99, the CONCACAF team has not done better at their home than their opponent did at their home. If you're thinking CONCACAF teams have strong fanbases and unique home stadiums... this is WoSo, not BroSo.

As for the previous playoff series:
1999, MEXvARG - Mexico won +2 home and +1 away
2003, MEXvJPN - Japan won at home while MEX only managed a draw
2007, MEXvJPN - both teams won at home, but Japan had the bigger home win
2011, USAvITA - both games were 1-0 wins for the USA
2015, TRIvECU - TRI actually did better in the away leg (draw) than the home leg (loss)

Panama just doesn't have the offensive power to score a lot. No way they come back to go to the WWC.

    It's actually White/Light Blue stripes

Australia mostly play in yellow. Germany will surely play in white, come on!

Since this isn't rugby, never seen New Zealand play in black!

Is this even a color? :cautious:

The USA's primary kit is white. And the secondary kit hasn't officially been announced (and the speculated secondary kit is red, not blue).

That's the secondary kit; the primary kit is still mainly white (accents red and blue). And the current uniform won't be what they're wearing next year at the WWC. They'll have new kits, the primary of which will still be white, and the secondary kit, as mentioned above, is rumored to be red.
