    Hey,
Does anyone else play? Anyone else play with PS3? Care for a game sometime?

The game is truly great. Finally EA comes close to PES.

FIFA will never get close to PES... don't forget, there's a new Pro Ev out very soon.

Got the game today. Doesnt feel that much different to Fifa 07. And yes can anyone tell me how to use the manual through ball on a pc?

BTW : Drogba's already scored 5 in pre-season and shevchenko is yet to start ;)

The manual crossing pisses me off, not because its tough to judge but because it doesn't work.

I also dont like how they remapped some buttons on defense just for the hell of it, really makes it hard to adjust.

But I do like the game overall so far.

hit your thru ball button (which is 12o clock for me) and when you release make sure you are aiming it in the right direction.

    Same thing with crosses now.

no more 40 yard auto aim thru ball.

takes some practice, but i like it :)

I LOVE Everton in that game. What I love even more is beating the little fanboy bitches who are always Chelsea, Liverpool, Man Utd and Arsenal. They have no idea that Everton is a decent club and when Cahill is putting volley's past them they quickly realize.

Overall, Pro Evo beats Fifa, but Fifa's season/one player modes absolutely kill Pro Evo's master league.

(Don't bother complaining that I am here again, remember that I am sticking to the topic)

Pro Evo is better but FIFA has the advantage in all the bells and whistles (leagues, game modes, etc). Overall I think this might be the best FIFA game yet. I think the gameplay is much better than last years. I know others have said it's the same but I played last years for about a week (I made myself give it that long) and never picked it up again. This game I can't put down.

I have to agree the season mode is better on FIFA, no doubt.

With regards to the licensed teams, etc, you can get all that stuff (and regularly updated transfers and all of that jazz) on Pro Ev quite easily.

Bit redundant now you're on the PS3 (swit-swoo, I'm jealous! :D ), but you can get a MaxDrive - basically a USB flash drive - and download option files that are edited by other people.

There are a huge number of massive geeks who spend hours upon hours making kits and badges and balls and stadia and so on. You download these onto your computer, put it on the max drive, stick that in your PS2 et voila :)

    Yay for PS3!

    But yeah.

I also like how you can't create players that are instantly rated 90 and over.

This game is a letdown compared to 07. Last year it came out with new features and better play, but this year basically all they have done is changed the passing.

Funny when I go online and beat 10 Barcelona teams with Napoli as well ;)

For PS2 I really like the create your own formations thing, big upgrade there.

But it was really stupid to change the button config just for the hell of it, especiaslly the defensive ones.

I like the manual through ball but not the manual cross, unless your facing the target the cross goes straight out of bounds for a goal kick.

Edit:Getting to control the GK was a solid idea.

What exactly did they change for defense? I've been playing for a week and have noticed no difference.

Switching players is now L1, which used to be for calling another defender over, which is now X, which I cant remember what that used to be, Right stick also helps switch a player. All in all, the setup with L1 was a lot more hand friendly if you ask me.

I always liked pressing the ball handler and calling a second player over at times as well, to do that now you have one winger on R1, and try to mash your thumb on X and O at the same time, kind of stupid.

Hmmm maybe you're using the FIFA controls, I always use the Pro Evo controls so I don't get too confused between playing the two.
