It's nice to see some momentum. Braga, Leicester and now Feirense. All we need now is a tie this afternoon.
Our next two games are at home against Maritimo and Chaves. Both are before the break and both are must wins. If we win against Maritimo and Chaves then I'll start to believe that this ship is slowly turning around.
This line up is perfect. I have been saying that Corona and Brahimi need to start the whole season. Looks like Otavio will have a hard time getting his spot back. We haven't even given Felipe and Marcano any credit. Both have been immense this season. Best CB pairing that we have had in years. The numbers don't lie.
Good point. Marcano last year and the year before that was treated badly by fans, however Felipe and Marcano have been quite consistent. Felipe has been quietly adjusting to the European game and isn't as prone to some wild fouls of late.
Marcano needs a strong CB beside him for things to click. I rate Marcano better technical player but Felipe is a beast . He doesn't mess around and just clears the ball. He reads the game really well too. Reminds me of a young Jorge Costa.
Won't be surprised to see Marcano and Felipe get calls from Spain and Brazil. Both have great defenders and Marcano have a harder time but his ex-coach now manages that national team so who know
Marcano didn't have a decent CB like Felipe in the past. Maicon was good but was not a good leader and error prone.
Considering how badly we've played this season, to be 4 points out of first in 2nd place is a tiny miracle. Like I said, our next two games, this Thursday and next Monday, are vital in order for us to continue to gain momentum.
Good win but that Red Card certainly made it easier. Brahimi is class and should be a lock at starter. Impressed with Jota as well.
