Looks like Benny won't be replacing the injured Tories. Kljestan was called instead. Maybe Benny will ge his shot later this spring.

Sacha and Shea were both called in tonight but even with those additions the US still only has 16 field players. Media is reporting that more players will be added tomorrow.

Landon, Torres, Jones and Chandler are all officially off roster.

Has Donovan played under Klinsmann yet?

The four MLS players called up were a goalie, a forward, a defender and Landon Donvan. The fact that Klinsman brought in Shea vs. Benny might be more of a snub than the first roster. In either case, not sure it's a huge snub at this time. I do hope Benny uses this as a bit of motivation to prove himself during the season.

This game pretty much confirms it: Klejstan isn't good enough.

But Deuce still is. He should probably replace Landycakes as the "Face" of US Soccer. My only regret is that he may seem too "Brown-ish" to be our Champion (in a Biblical sense)

Well we already knew he wasn't good enough in the center of midfield. Now we know he can't play anywhere.

Face it, he isn't good enough.

And to do it in Italy, not a neutral site.... Wow!

Kljestan reminds me a bit of Twellman. Someone who always looks so good in club play that you feel like they should be good at the Nat level and never proves good enough.

    Yeah, great result.

Personally, I think Italy is just a tad overrated, but they're certainly better than we are.

Yeah, I agree. I don't rate Matri. He is big and clunky and takes away from what Giovinco does. I think they are a good team, definitely top 10, but definitely not a contender for Euro's.

I also think Prandeli was out of his mind. They lost because of that stupid narrow diamond. If he tries that nonsense against Germany, Holland or Spain and they lose 5-0.

Agreed on the stupid narrow diamond, I've always hated that formation and it's basically the reason I don't watch Serie A. Negative and uninspiring without attacking wingers.

They looked really bad too. Admittedly, I only watch about 30 minutes, but in that 30 minutes they look horrendous.
