This kid's father is a big Argentina fan. I don't surprise if this kid ended up playing for Argentina unless we act quickly and wisely.
He's playing for Infantil A this season. I can't find his exact stats, but he does seem to be a starter and does score some goals from what I've read. Info is here if anyone wants to read this constantly, and keep this thread very up to date. There's one guy who posts the lineups, goals and sometimes a review of the youth matches. http://sdehumo.net/forums/11.aspx
I would have to assume it’s because clubs aren’t required to release players except for competitive senior matches.
Fede was called in and accept an invite for 01/2018 I believe, but suffered an injury that will hold him out of playing for the US and Atleti for a few months
Unfortunate news: '04 Fede Oliva, who's with Atletico Madrid Infantil A squad this year suffered knee injury last week. He was set to join up with #usynt early 2018 camp #USMNT— Joey (@USAprospects) November 21, 2017
Fede and Atlético Infantil A were league champions this season. That's him in the training shirt on the far right in the photo. https://www.atleticodemadrid.com/noticias/el-infantil-a-masculino-se-proclama-campeon-liguero It was difficult to find information on him individually for this season. Finally, I came across this site which details Atlético Infantil A's matches in the Division de Honor Infantil this season, and you have to check each of the matches individually to see how the players did in terms of minutes and goals. I did that and totaled his stats. https://www.ffmadrid.es/pnfg/NPcd/N...&CodTemporada=13&CodJornada=1&Sch_Tipo_Juego= Oliva was not able to recover from an injury he suffered in mid-November. For the season, Fede had 5 starts and 4 goals, usually being substituted early to midway in the second half. He started every match he was healthy for. He evidently got hurt in the middle of his fifth start, in mid-November (got substituted in the first half), and did not appear again for the season on match reports. Based on shirt number, Fede played a mix of the #10 and both wings. Atlético annihilated their competition, finishing the season with 25 wins, 0 losses, and 1 draw. Even though he got hurt, he clearly made the most of his opportunities when healthy. The US better be keeping in close contact with him, since he is apparently eligible for Argentina, Brazil, and Spain.
‘04 potential #usynt Fede Oliva is weeks away from return to game action with Atletico Madrid. Fede injured his knee late in 2017. He was called into US U14 camp but could not play due to injury. Atletico rate him very highly at the wing position. pic.twitter.com/uq91Bpixvl— Joey (@USAprospects) July 23, 2018
Here is a video of Sergio Aguero wishing Fede a fast return and much love. Also of note, he's in an Argentinian shirt. Could this be AFA's ploy to court him? https://streamable.com/10fv4
Fede is back in action. After nine months of injury struggles, he's returned for Atletico Madrid to play 25 minutes yesterday. He is now with the Cadete A side for this year.
He's with Cadete B this year and he's scoring again: PRETEMPORADA.CADETE B 3-0 @AD_Alcorcon ⚽️@FedericoOliva15 ⚽️Marcos Denia⚽️Alex Benito#CanterAtletica— Cantera Atletica (@canteratletica) September 15, 2018

Upcoming US U15 roster will include ‘04 Atletico Madrid attacker Fede Oliva #usynt pic.twitter.com/7MZknUcYBh— Joey (@USAprospects) January 17, 2019
Unfortunate #usynt U15 news; Atletico Madrid winger Fede Oliva came up injured last weekend and will miss 2-3 weeks per reports. He will not travel to US U15 camp this week. Bummer for a promising kid who missed previous camp with this age group.— Joey (@USAprospects) January 29, 2019
Here's Oliva's call-up to Torneo Gradisca/Delle Nazioni. The US won the tournament 2 years ago, including an epic US-England final that ended with Josh Atencio, Gilbert Fuentes, and Gio Reyna breaking the English high press and Reyna delivering the dagger.
